Heart break Hotel
(( Hello everyone. I'm not feeling good these days, neither physically nor mentally. This story is influenced by my hallucinative mind. Hope it doesn't suck as my fever does. Please R&R. At least let me know how much I stink! ))
...
A hotel. Black and white in appearance; apart from the colorful world around. The hotel looked all so gloomy and broken... No ordinary human being would ever fancy getting in even for 30 minutes. By ordinary people, I mean those monotonously Optimistic people, who hope unnecessarily till the last moment of their lives. Hence, this place wasn't for the merry-go-happy Starfires or ever the affirmative Robins.
The inner look of the hotel was no less gloomy than the outer. The rooms were spacious enough for a single person with minimum belongings so far. But the heart of the hotel was the big Café ( though this whole place is gloomy doesn't mean it's Heartless! The Heart is Broken). The resident people, all gloomy and broken, sit for a cup of hot coffee for an apparent relief of pain.
But is the pain of a broken heart relieved through the temporary deception of a hot cup of coffee?
...
Terra, the girl of our concern, is at the single table at the northeast corner of the café. The girl takes small sips of her choice, sugar free Mocha. As she sips the nearly burning coffee, she wades through the memories that haunted her each moment.
All she wanted was to gain full Control of her Uncontrolled powers. She had to lose both ends. Her Friends and her Control.
Her soul was ripping her apart, but she was tearless. As unmoved as a lifeless rock.
Terra took another sip of her coffee, now moderately warm.
She looked around the usual scene of all gloomy people... some too expressive to flood the place with tears, while others were apathetically lifeless for their past painful experiences.
Terra took another sip of her coffee which was starting to get cold by now.
On a raised platform was a young man with his musical band, playing in the café for the merely scanty allowance to lead a minimum comfortable life. The young man was the lead vocalist, dressed in formal tuxedo and styled similar to Elvis Presley. He kept singing just one song, as a continuous record, as if this was the only song he knew in life.
Well, since my baby left me,
And I found a new place to dwell
Down the edges of lonely street
At Heartbreak Hotel.
All day, all night. Continuous, but so Heartfelt, never Dreary.
And although it's always crowded
You still can find some room
Where broken hearted lovers
Do cry away their groom.
On one hand, she had to breach the trust of her only friends, the titans. She was stubborn at Beast boy, who had only lent a helping hand.
On the other hand, Slade offered her to serve as a mentor, if she would comply to serve as an apprentice. He would carve her incapabilities, flourish her potential.
"An offer of Friendship, or an offer of Apprenticeship?", Terra asked herself.
She sipped her coffee again, nearly finished, just one last sip left.
She concentrated on the playing music again:
You make me so lonely baby,
I get so lonely,
I get so lonely I could die...
Terra took the last sip of her coffee, now cold from being left over for too long.
She exited the café for her room, the thoughts still twirling in her mind.
