My first Inuyasha fic. Don't scold me if u dun lyk it.

The light from the sun slipped in through the windows of the room, shining on the sleeping girl in a uniform. Kagome lifted a hand to block her eyes from the rays of the sun. She sat up in her bed, rubbed her eyes and looked around. No one was around except her. The girl slipped into her school shoes and took her bag pack to see what she can leave behind for everyone. After all, her mission here in ancient Japan was completed and she has no reason to be around anymore.

After preparing the gifts and putting them on each individual s' bed, she carried her bag and opened the door. Kagome took one last look around the village that she was given the Shikon no Tama, met Inuyasha and granny Kaede. Before she returned to her home once and for all, she decided to explore the area.

Kagome walked into the forest where she ran through when she was chased by a giant centipede who wanted the Shikon no Tama. She looked up at the tree where Inuyasha was sealed by Kikyou 50 yrs ago. She remembered how she released Inuyasha from the seal and how she managed to control Inuyasha with the necklace Kaede used on him.

As she walked deeper into the forest and towards the well, she remembered the people she met, the people who she with and protected, as well as the people whom everyone hated. But now, Japan shall be peaceful once again.

The Shikon no Tama was destroyed and disappeared from the face of the earth, along with the demon who tried to kill everyone just to obtain the shards and make it into a black jewel. She remembered the traps the demon set for them and how everyone managed to survive and carry on their journey.

Finally, after traveling for a very long time, their mission is complete. The jewel however, was destroyed. Still, Kagome thinks that life now is definitely much better than when the Shikon no Tama was still around.

Kagome finally reaches the well that connects the past and the present Japan together. Before she jumped in to it, she heard a voice say: "Are you going to leave without saying goodbye?"

Kagome turned around to find the demon in a red robe, hiding behind a tree.

"Aren't you supposed to escort Sango and Miroku to a village?" Kagome asked him.

"They can handle it themselves. After all, a certain someone isn't there to kill us all anymore."

"I see. Well, there are gifts for everyone on the bed back in the hut. Help me take them to those two okay?"

"Can't you stay here? Why must you go back? Aren't you happy here?"

"I am. But I have to take care of my mother, my brother and my grandfather."

"Can't they come here instead?"

"Inuyasha, you know they can't come here. The well won't allow it."

The dog demon stopped arguing with Kagome and looked at his feet.

"I'll miss you." He murmured.

"I'll miss you too. Goodbye, Inuyasha." The girl replied.

Then, after taking one last look at her surrounding and at the demon, Kagome jumped into the well, never to return.
