Chapter 1: Midnight
Midnight is black all over with glittering yellow eyes she is head of the cat army and well known by all clans. The clans are all the animals of the forest. The clans are:
Dingoes, wolves, foxes, cats, tigers, lions and leopards
The cat army is the defence force for the clan of the cats. They fight all the battles and protect their village. They have recently been at war with the wolves
. The cat clan won but the battle was hard and bloody and some never returned. Midnight's best friend is her deputy, Lorriah. Lorriah is a tortishell and white she-cat with bright blue eyes that reflect the moon.
