A/N: Haven't done a drabble in ages but this idea just popped into my head and it wouldn't fit in 140 characters.
Before seeing the witness, Sam had something to tell his brother.
"He was your BOYFRIEND at Stanford?" Dean spluttered.
"Before Jess," Sam explained awkwardly. "Couple months. Experimental thing."
Dean gaped. Sam turned away.
He couldn't explain why he'd warmed to the handsome guy with the sexy smile he met at enrollment, or that he'd reminded a miserable fish-out-of-water of... someone, or how he'd found comfort in the deep voice, strong arms, manly hands.
His brother wouldn't understand. Sam didn't want him to.
"How come?" Dean gasped.
Sam shrugged. "Can't say."
