It was sunny that morning. Almost too sunny. Nigel Uno squinted behind his sunglasses at his treehouse. After spending the week in England on vacation, he couldn't wait to get back to his friends. A loud slam was heard as he looked down at the door to his house, namely his home. His adored teammates were running to him so quickly, it was amazing he even knew who they were. Bombarded by what felt like a million people hugging him, he fell backwards into the arms of his best friend, Abigail Lincoln. She smiled fondly at him, "Hey boss."
"Hey Abby." he responed.
Laughing as he brushed himself off after being let go, he walked with the group back inside. "Numbuh 1! Tell us about your trip!" giggled Kuki happily.
"Eh, it was okay, not nearly as fun as being back here with you guys." Nigel smiled back at her.
"Numbuh 4 finally told Numbuh 3 that he..." Hoagie blurted, who was stopped by Wally.
"I'll tell'm, if ya don't mind." growled Wally.
"Thats okay, I think I already have an idea of what you told her...it was pretty obvious."
Wally looked shocked for a moment and then lowered his eyes and mumbled something unheard. Nigel laughed silently, and turned his attenion to Abby. "If you don't mind, I'd like to have a talk with Numbuh 5 outside before I unpack."
They smiled, and nodded. Nigel and Abby walked outside. Once on the balcony, Nigel looked her straight in the eye and grinned, "I missed you."
Abby blushed, "Abby missed you too."
"I'm glad..." Nigel smirked and looked over to the forest beyond the town.
"Remember what Abby said before you left?" she said, frowning a little.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I?" asked Nigel, suprised.
"I...thought maybe you forgot and you found someone else, like Lizzie."
Oh no...Abby really is worried. She thinks I'd go back to Lizzie after she told me she loved me?She's out of 3rd person!
"Abby! I'd never ever do that to you!" he said, shocked.
She met his eyes. "I know, I guess...I was overreacting. I was just...scared you didn't love me like I loved you."
He paused, then kissed her. She reacted by giving him a startled look. He pulled away, "I'm sorry you feel that way, but I do love you"
"Abby knows that now."
