I stood in the corner of the big white room, there was nothing here, nothing, except for a hard metal bed and a table.

There was also a small girl with black hair and dull blue-grey eyes.

She was here because she was different,

because she had "hallucinations",

the shock therapy made it worse half the time.
All the doctors hated her, her only friend was a small brown bear tht was missing an eye and pracically falling apart.

I sighed as a doctor walked in to give her the small meal they were obliged to feed her.

He walked in set it down on the table and left.

The girl sat still staring at the wall.

And then suddenly she looked up,

her eyes were hauning, so full of sadness and despair, it was heartbreaking.

I wondered if anyone would notice or care when she gone.

The girl got to her feet and walked over to the food sitting down she began to eat,

after eating the whole bowl of soup

she made to walk towards my corner but, halfway there she collapsed,

her black hair framing her pale face as she reached a slender, pale hand towards me.

Suddenly the light was gone from her eyes and,

I saw her ghost standing above her.

She looked at me and I smiled,

with a flick of my hand she was out of the grubby white clothes of the asylum

and wearing a yellow sundress,

big white wings coming form her back as I held my hand out to her.

She walked toward me and embracing her in my arms,

I led her into the light

away from the life she had once led,

to one were she would be accepted and loved,

with the rest of the angels.
