Post- Awakening

Toph: Let me out!

KTM: Not until you do the disclaimer!

Toph: NO!

KTM: Then you leave me no choice…(holds up a terrified Sokka)

Toph: Fine! I'll do it! But…please, spare the horror! sigh KTM does not own Avatar: The Last Airbender.

KTM: Good. (throws Sokka out the door)

Sokka's so fun to torture (avoids flying tomatoes)

Aang stood a small ledge, feeling empty as his glider burned before his eyes.

He sighed sadly, and turned back towards where his friends were watching from. He stepped to where he thought the ledge was, surprised to find only empty air when he stepped. He took a tumble down the rest of the slope, coming to a stop a few feet away from his friends, groaning in pain. One of the loose rocks had embedded itself in his foot, leaving a bloody gash in its wake. Suddenly, he felt strong arms wrap around his arms and pull him up into a sitting position. Aang's slate-gray eyes locked onto Sokka's ocean-blue ones, and then whimpered as he felt Katara's finger prodding the bottom of his foot lightly.

"Don't worry. It will only take a few seconds, Aang." Sokka reassured, watching as Katara prodded Aang's foot a little more.

"Three…two…one!" Katara said. On 'one', Katara yanked the stone out of his foot. Aang yelped involuntarily, and then felt water on his foot, quickly healing the gash on it.

"Now that that's done, let's see you can stand." Katara said as she finished healing it. Aang felt Sokka's heave him on his feet, where he wobbled uncertainly and almost fell over, but with Sokka's and Katara's help, made it over to where Toph was waiting with Appa.

Aang watching silently as Sokka and Toph got into their makeshift saddle. Then Katara led him to Appa's tail and they both climbed up into the saddle

As soon as they were in the air, Sokka asked, "What happened to you?"

Aang sighed and briefly touched on what happened the night before, leaving out what Roku and Yue had told him. As soon as he had finished, he laid back on the saddle, careful to keep the burn on his back from touching the saddle.

"You must be tired." He heard Katara murmur. Aang nodded lightly, stifling a yawn at the same time. Soon after, he fell asleep, his head where Katara had rested it- on her shoulder. Katara watched him as he fell asleep, then looked up to see Sokka and Toph talking together on Appa's head, laughing occasionally.

Sokka and Toph, who knew? Katara thought to herself as she rested her head on top of Aangs' head. When Sokka looked back later, all he saw Aang and Katara sleeping together, smiles touching each of the lips.
