- The End of Emptiness -
"Lelouch..." in solitude I whispered. Lelouch didn't answer. He didn't open his eyes, even just for a second.
"... Lelouch..." again, I whispered. He won't answer and he couldn't.
I touched his cold hand softly and grasped his hand tightly. Tears began to burst out, showed all of my sorrows and my guilty feeling.
"Le... louch..." I tried to call his name completely, but I couldn't.
'Please open your eyes and smile for me again.' I want to shout those words but I can't. I only remembered about his name and all of his expression when he's still with me, beside me.
It's my fault. It's my entire fault. If I didn't stab you in the first place, maybe you can open your eyes now. If I didn't kill you, maybe you can call my name for the countless times. I don't care about everything. I don't care about Zero Requiem or else. Just stay by my side, from now on and forever.
"Lelouch... please, open your eyes..."
"Please, call my name once again..."
In emptiness I whispered.
I can't do anything but cried and begged to the God to revive you. I don't care if I die because of it. I just want...
"Lelouch, I love you" I whispered the words that I never tell you, softly and surely. Yeah, that's all I could do.
Slowly, I felt a cold hand touch my cheek softly. That cold hand wiped my tears and I stared at the owner. I can't believe my eyes...
"Le... louch...?"
I can see a smile blooms on his pale face.
"Why are you crying? Stupid..."
My eyes widened and my tears stopped unknowingly.
"Finally, I can... hear those words..." he began to speak slowly with all of his might. Tears began to spread again on my face.
Lelouch smiled and gave me a sign to help him sit. Hastily but gently, I helped him. He smiled and makes me blushing afterwards.
"H-how about a glass of water? You must be thirsty now,"
Before I could go further, Lelouch held my hand and pulled me.
His cold lips trembled and whispered something which made me startled. I stared at him unbelievably and smiled like an idiot. He blushed and looked away.
I hugged him with all of my might. He shouted because his wounds reopened. I apologized and he smiled again.
"Stupid," he said.
His cold words couldn't be spoken anymore. His gentle words wiped off my worries. His smile and his voice fill my heart with happiness.
All of the emptiness had gone. He wiped it all away and it won't come if he calls my name, smiles for me, and stays beside me.
From now on and forever, I'll be by his side. I'll live on, just for him. Until the destiny tear us apart. Until a 'checkmate' which never come. Until the end of everything.
Forever.
