Disclaimers: I wished and I wished, but the wish to own Darker than Black never can true T_T

Enjoy!

Hei was always shrouded with mystery. He was an enigma to the police. BK201 was never seen, never heard of, or ever found. Dark clouds covered up his identity and washed away all evidence. He is very much like a thunder storm. He is Li Sheng Shun during the day, a normal person no different from the rest, like gray swollen rain clouds on a rainy day. He will act normal for the day and will continue in a steady non-violent motion, but dead at night, dark ominous clouds swallow up the stars and the smiling façade will fall, turning the kind, ramen loving Li-kun in to an emotionless killer.

Now, the night air is thick. The clouds overhead turn dark as Hei puts on his porcelain mask. From the clouds comes the deep rumbling of an angry demon. Hei sneaks his way into the warehouse, heart thumping, fingers tingling, as he hear the click of the lock breaking.

Boom! A bright beautiful streak descended from the sky. In a flash it's gone. Hei stood at the top of the railing, eyes glowing red through his porcelain mask. He felt the fear of his prey. They began to try to talk him out of fighting and do the most rational thing, like all Contractors. They tightened their grip on their weapons and prepared to release their powers as the Black Reaper took a step forward. The low icy tone of his voice sealed their fate. "You make me sick."

Lightning flashed and bodies collided against each other. Blazing light streaked from the sky as the bloodied blade of the moon knife was again embedded in other body. The lightning flashed as Hei danced between his victims, adrenaline rushing throw his blood.

Stabbing…

Hurting…

Killing….

Murdering…

Shocking…

Then, as quickly as it began, it was over. The thunder clouds drew back and the clear night was full of stars. Seven had fallen and streaked threw the sky as if putting on one last display before leaving this world.

Hei stood in the middle of the warehouse surrounded by the bodies of his victims. A static voice was heard, cutting through the dead silence of the warehouse. "Hei… mission accomplished. The Syndicate got the item… return to base".

With a click, the static voice ended abruptly. In the distance, a small line of red signified the nearing of dawn. The porcelain mask fell and the grin came back on his face. Li Sheng Shun walked out of the warehouse, hands stuffed in this pocket as distant sound of blaring police car sirens reached his ears. Li looked up at the stars. The fading stars all seemed to look up at one lonely star that shone brightly against the will of the rising sun.

Japi hoshi ni odo raseteku tasaii…

Let the stars dance again…

OWARI

This one-shot was fun! My first for many to come!

It was first inspired by my English teacher. She assigned us a essay about what weather would describe us the best. At that time I was a HARD CORE Darker than Black addict (not that I'm not now! ^_^ just not as crazy. I still love the series though.) so it inspired me to write this!

Haha! Its time for me to leave. My mom is coming downstairs… gotta go!
