Dissociative Dream Escape Take Two

By Pandakelly

AN: Hey everybody so I finally figured out a small step in how I am going to do this story, please bear with me, I got sucked into the Supernatural Fandom and haven't really been up for air in a while, Anyway so this story will still have the basic premes of the first attempt but I am going to finish this one.

Chapter one

2043 Pasadena California

Penelope Cooper fought tears as the love of her life struggled to find his last breaths. It pained her to see the once active man wither away in the hospital bed, the couple had always worried about his health and had discussed the possibility of this many times. Theory was always easier than reality and Penny found that she had to excuse herself as the doctors bustled around her husband preparing him for his final journey one that she hoped to follow him in shortly. As she walked the small corridors of the hospital floor, Penny was glad that she had sent her family away, they did not need to be here. Finding a small mezzanine Penny bought a small cup of coffee and pulled out her old case notes. The neat handwriting of her youth brought a sad smile to her face as she pushed back tears. It had been 30 years since she was first introduced to Sheldon Cooper and yet she could still remember all the small details that made up their initial interactions.

Spring 2014 Pasadena California

Sheldon Cooper loved the solitude his commute afforded him. Even surrounded by people in the bustling bus, he felt separated, the feeling familiar wrapped around him as he studied the notes for his latest lecture. At a particularly rough road, that he had asked the bus company time and time again to avoid, the brunette's head shot up, eyes darting around him Sheldon caught the eye of a petite blonde about three seats back who seemed to have been engaged in a particularly intriguing book and almost as it had never happened both parties were back to their respective reading materials forgetting the incident completely. Sheldon's life was a series of perfectly executed plans allowing for little human interaction. Sheldon was not anti-social he just had been burned by one too many well-meaning "friends" to trust those individuals who happened across him.

Penny Queen couldn't help but enjoy using public transportation, more than any other aspect of her life it showed her a wide variety of people and gave her a chance to interact with them on a daily basis. As a well-respected Psychologist the interactions kept her fresh and gave her time to catch up on all the latest theories for her fields. After a few weeks Penny had each of the regular passengers categorized except one. In a sea of obvious this man stood out and almost seemed to dare her to define him. Months went by and she had yet to figure him out, he seemed like a loner but he also was polite and made small talk with some of the passengers. He had to be intelligent getting off at Caltech University's stop, but he seemed to keep it to himself and often dressed in childish clothing. Penny eventually gave up on the man ever noticing her and soon enough she switched bus lines certain to never see the intriguing man again.

Please let me know what you think so far, I will try to regularly update. I really do like this story line and would like to see it completed even if it kills me
