PROLOGUE
On calm night with the moon at half its glory, a young man in armor patrolled the eastern boarder of the Malion Kingdom. His only companions were his sword and the torch that allowed him to see in the darkness. Just as he was reaching his post, a bird flew and knocked his helmet off. He looked down at the helmet before looking up at the bird. The hawk gave one squawk before a bunch of arrows with ropes tied on them shot up from the darkness surrounding the walls, attaching themselves to the wall. The guard ran to building with panic. "We are under attack! Let the Signal Torches!"
When he reached the building a tall man walked out with a grin. "You'll be doing no such thing," the man sneered. The guard stopped and looked at him before looking beside him. With a leap he made it onto the rope ladder. Once making it to the top, he felt the rope give way, he grabbed onto the ledge as it was falling. He looked down to see a few half dozen men, along with the Tall Man, starring up at him, their swords drawn.
The man growled and pulled himself up over the ledge with a lot of effort taking a deep breath he jogged over to the metal pit filled with wood and oil. Just as he made it to the pit, the Tall Man Jumped beside him smiles, his sword drawn. "I told you, you wouldn't be warning the emperor of my presence." The Tall Man went after the Guard. Just as his sword was going to pierce the Guard's armor, the Guard had thrown his torch into the pit, lighting it. Within seconds other post's roof's burst into flame, beginning the chain of communication. With a heavy breath and a hand covering his chest, the guard looked up at the Tall Man. "Now all of Malion will know you are here." The Tall Man just grabbed the Malion Flag from its pole and held it over the flame, feigning sadness,
"Good."
Just as the Tall Man was beginning his attack on the Eastern Wall, a general and two soldiers were making their way into the throne room of the Malion Palace. Sitting on a throne of goldish rock and a red pillow, sat the emperor.
His general and two soldiers bowed to him, before the general spoke. "My emperor, the Zeks have invaded our kingdom from the eastern border.
"Impossible! No one is able to get through our great…" started the one and only advisor, but the emperor put his hand up silencing him. The emperor just frowned as he motioned for the general to continue.
"Not only that, but sources have gathered that it's Ushio that is leading them." General stated. Emperor frowned even more, knowing who Ushio was. "We'll be setting up defenses around your palace immediately.
The emperor stood up with some anger in his eyes. "No! Send my troops to protect my people! Reh!" the emperor turned to his trusted advisor.
Reh bowed slightly, "yes your majesty."
"I want you to send out letter alerting our troop of the attack. Tell them that all are to be active and ready for battle. And send out for as many new recruits as possible!" the emperor said while making his way down the steps to his general.
The general looked up at the emperor with confusing, "Forgive me, my majesty. But I believe my men can stop him."
"I wish to not take any chances, general. A single grain of rice can tip the scales," the emperor put up one finger before putting it down, "one person could be the difference between victory and defeat."
