A/N: From Portkey "Tying the Knot" challenge

Disclaimer: I don't own anything Harry Potter related (duh!)

Marry Me

"Harry these presents need wrapping! Oh Bill that tuxedo looks just smashing on you! Ginny come down here and try on your dress! Ron, the plates go in this order! No Fleur you can't come in here-Bill can't see you in your dress! Fred, George stop dawdling!"

Oh the hustle and bustle of preparing for the wedding, and Mrs. Weasley was driving everyone insane with wedding preparations. But somehow Hermione was able to slip away. She was in Harry and Ron's room reading about the Horcruxes:

Horcruxes are magical objects that are pieces of a person's soul. Destroying a horcrux takes a lot of magic, but the most powerful way to destroy a horcrux is by performing an act of true love before it.

"True love? That's what it takes?" Hermione continued reading:

Such acts include: an acceptance to a marriage proposal, a wedding, a wedding night, or a birth of a child.

Hermione ran out of the room and down the stairs.

"Harry, Harry," Hermione whispered.

"What?"

"I have to talk to you, it's urgent!"

"Hermione I have to wrap these presents for Mrs. Weasley, or else," Harry said as he started to wrap a very delicate glass present.

"But Harry-"

"Not now Hermione, I'm in the middl-"

"Marry Me!"

CRASH

Harry had fumbled with the glass present and it fell out of his hands and shattered into pieces. Everyone turned to see the cause of the noise. Harry was completely red in the face; he was frozen still. Once he could finally move he turned and looked at Hermione.

"Wa-wa-whattt did you jusst say-ea?"

"Um yeah Hermione, what did you just say?" Ron said.

Hermione grabbed both of them by an arm and pulled them upstairs. Once they were in their room she read out loud to them about the Horcruxes and true love.
