It was one of those snowy nights and [Name] couldn't sleep, so she went to the kitchen and made herself some hot cocoa before sitting on the chair and watching the snow outside the window.

She wasn't aware that other than herself, someone else had also way their way to the sofa but did not bother to sit, looking at the female with curious glance.

"[Name]-chan, can't fall asleep again?" Titling her head back, she looked at the tall nation upside-down before a grin broke to her face, nodding.

"Hm~m, seems like it, so I'm watching the snow." [Name] pat the space her to her, gesturing for him to take a seat. "Come sit beside me, Russia."

Russia sat beside her and watched the snow; he used to hate the snow, but remembering how he met her one snowy night, lost and alone, so fragile and already dying, yet he had taken her home with him and saved her life – everything had changed. She wasn't like the others who get scared of him; she's the only one who could manage to calm him, make him happy, and understand him.

"So pretty, isn't it?" [Name] asked and he simply turned to face her, not saying a word. Her gaze remained outside and he returned his gaze as well. Indeed, the snow was pretty, but it didn't change the fact that…

"I hate it." Russia mumbled but loud enough for the female to hear, setting her confused gaze at him. Feeling the female's gaze on him, Russia turned to face the female and smiled. "At least I used to," he then paused, before reaching out and running his fingers through her [hair colour] locks. "… the only thing I like about the snow… is that that's how I met you. One snowy night, with heavy snowstorm… you were there on the street, dying… and then…" He paused and smiled, before pulling her in an embrace and kissing her lips softly.

"You came… took me with you… and then decided it would be better if we become one, da?" [Name] smiled giving him an Eskimo kiss and Russia chuckled before pecking her lips.

"Da."

Russia hated the snow, indeed it was pretty; yet it can be merciless at times, blanketing him with nothing but coldness.

[Name] loved the snow, they way it cover everything in white; signifying pure innocence.

But he was thankful; because of that one snowy night – he found her – he met her.

And she loved it the most; because he was there – saving her from death.
