Percy Jackson: An Important Meeting
Percy Jackson oneshot focused on the Solangelo pairing and a little introduction for Nico to Will's mother.

"I can't believe you talked me into this." Nico Di Angelo muttered.
Will Solace just laughed, shaking his head as he watched his boyfriend pacing back and forth in the living room of their apartment.
Shaking his head Will spoke. "Nico will you relax, it'll be fine."
Nico rolled his eyes, turning to Will. "Easy for you to say; ours dads already know about us, probably even before we did and, well..."
"Don't start all this Nico, you'll turn yourself grey well before your time." Will chided gently. "Trust me, my mom is cool, she'll like you."
Nico bit his lip, wondering how Will could be so sure. That was the current issue that was making him fret, after about three months of dating, Will had told him, out of the blue, that his mother, Naomi Solace was visiting and wanted to meet him. Or, more specifically, she wanted to meet 'the person who made my boy happier than he's ever been before.' It was the vagueness of that statement which worried Nico.
"I mean, does she even know you're..." He began to ask.
Will smiled serenely. "Gay, yeah, of course. I don't have secrets from mom, she doesn't have any from me."
Nico nodded slowly; he had to admit, hearing that, he did feel a bit calmer.
Said new calmness only lasted until the doorbell rang. Will barely suppressed a chuckled at the sight of the son of Hades going absolutely still, eyes almost impossibly wide. Shaking his head he went to answer the door. Nico only unfroze as he heard the slightly muted conversation and tried to prepare himself, straightening his clothes, he even ran his hands through his hair in a vain attempt to at least partially tame it.
Will returned to the living room; with him was a woman, her hair was a similar shade to Will's and curled around her ears; there were lines on her face from smiling and laughing so much. She had kind blue eyes and tan skin.
Will was smiling and spoke as the entered. "Mom, this is Nico, Nico, this is my mom, Naomi Solace."
Naomi's smile widened as she stepped forwards.
Holding out his hand Nico replied. "It's a pleasure to meet you, ma'am."
But to his surprise, the woman laughed and hugged him. "Now, now, none of that, call me Naomi."
Nico looked at Will, eyes wide, Will just smiled. It was strange, apart from Will, Nico usually disliked and shied away from physical contact, but he didn't seem to mind when Naomi hugged him. It surprised him, but didn't make him uncomfortable.
"Um, okay...Naomi."
She straightened up and nodded. "It's so nice to meet you at last. I've heard about you from Will."
Nico finally felt himself smiling, despite his earlier nervousness, Naomi allowed him to feel at ease.
That was how Nico Di Angelo, first met Naomi Solace.
