Hello everyone, this is my first fanfiction story for "The Flash". I wrote this, without the character's names, on my WordPress blog about 2 months ago via a writing prompt I found on a writing prompt website and figured that it would be a nice, short fanfiction piece for "The Flash". Enjoy and be nice, please! =)

The early morning sun shined through the windows of a vintage modern house. A feminine figure stirs within the crisp white sheets of the queen-sized bed. A phone started to vibrate on the bedside table, causing the young woman to open one sleepy eye and reached out a hand to grab the phone.

It was a reminder for a dentist appointment at 2 PM. The young woman, named Iris West, sighed and wished that she could just forget about the appointment and stay in bed, but she has to get this procedure done or else she'll never have time to do it given that she's working as an intern journalist at a local newspaper firm and her schedule tends to be hectic.

She reluctantly got out of bed, went towards the bathroom and began to get ready for the day. After going through her morning toilette, she made herself a simple breakfast and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Then, she took her purse from the hook beside the door, headed to the garage, got into her sky blue Mini Cooper, backed out of the garage and driveway and drove off as the garage door closed.

She first went to the office to see if there's any work to be done before her dentist appointment. There was a couple of articles that needed to be written, but other than that it was a pretty easy workday. When lunch came around, Iris went to her boss's office and told him that she would be leaving soon for an appointment and that she will not be returning to the office for the rest of the day. Her boss nodded his head and dismissed her from his office.

Iris then left the office and drove to a nice little restaurant that she and her Dad used to go to get something to eat before heading to the dentist. She ordered a hearty clam chowder in a bread bowl and a small Caesar salad on the side. It was a little after 1:30 when she arrived at the dentist's office. She went to the sign-in computer, clicked her name and sat down in the waiting area.

After what seemed like forever, Iris' name was called and she got up from her seat, followed a nurse into a room, lied down on the infamous dentist chair and waited for the dentist to arrive. When the dentist came in, he informed her that in order to complete the procedure, he would have to put her under anesthesia. Iris nodded her consent and the procedure began.

Moments later, Iris slowly opened her eyes as the anesthesia began to wear off. She then looked at her surroundings and saw that she wasn't in the dentist's office anymore, she was sitting in a moving train. A loud sound was heard and Iris quickly turned to see where it came from and saw that her right hand has been handcuffed to a large briefcase.

Just as she was wondering why she has this briefcase handcuffed to her wrist, a man walked into the car that she was in and pointed a gun at her face. "Who are you and what do you want?" Iris asked, fear evident in her voice. "I want that briefcase that's handcuffed to your wrist and if you don't hand it over right now, then this will be your last day on earth." The man said as he clicked the safety on the pistol, ready to kill.

The End. Or is it?
