Chapter 1
"Vert, we need to talk," Vert couldn't believe it! Jack Wheeler, his father, was a Silencer!
"Dad! What's goin' on?" he said.
"Just come with me." Vert followed his dad into what looked like a lounge area with a purple couch and coffee table.
"You see Vert, Dr. Tezla wanted the power of the acceletrons for himself. He wanted to use their unlimited knowledge of the realms and multiverse to hunt someone down." Jack said.
"Wait so you knew Dr. Tezla before you came to his old hideout after the world race?" Vert's mind was still reeling with the fact that his dad was part of an organization designed to create paranoia among both the Teku and the Metal Maniacs.
"Yes, how else would I have known where to find you after that note you left me about a world race?" Jack was trying to make sure that the conversation wouldn't go in a direction that he REALLY didn't want it to go.
"I don't know I figured since you were military and Dr. Tezla does know how to build some pretty high tech stuff. Is this why you were so dead set against me driving? Because you didn't think I was good enough to win the ultimate race?" Now Vert was trying to piece together some sense of what was going on.
"No! Not at all! I just didn't want to have to be put in that situation where I would've had to hurt you in order to complete my mission."
"Wait! Seriously? You would put a mission above your own son? What kind of father are you!"
"The kind who wants to keep his kid our of trouble!" Now Jack was getting angry because not only had they been not able to race in the ultimate race but Vert, of all people was now an acceleracer!
"You know what! Forget this and forget you! I'm leaving to find Dr. Tezla and the others! He's more of a father than you are!" Ever since the world race, Vert had stayed in touch with Dr. Tezla (you know until the whole obsessed with researching the wheel of power happened). The two of them would talk for hours about everything from racing to Dr. Tezla helping Vert with his homework. Even when Vert's mom had died, Dr. Tezla had come to Vert's house and stayed with him for his mom's funeral and a week after because his dad had been called off to work.
"I'm sorry Vert, but I can't let you do that," and with that Jack had sprayed a gas that instantly knocked out Vert.

Next Time: We go to where the Ultimate Race left off with the other racers going to look for Vert. Except the Silencers are up to their old sneaky tricks! What do they want with Dr. Tezla?
