Jasper and Alice
A Rare Love
(This takes place after the vote in the end of New Moon)
After the vote Jasper and i were laying on our bed, his finger tracing the features on my face, if i still had a beating heart it would've been pounding out of my chest right now. "What are you thinking about" he asked i guess he could tell i was deep in thought. "I'm just thinking about what happened with the vote and all and Bella finally becoming one of us." "Why are you still thinking about it, i thought you were excited for Bella to become one of us?" "I am excited, i just want to be sure we made the right decision for Bella." "Alice" he said lifting my chin with his finger. "We all decided including Bella that this is the best choice for them, Bella said this is what she wants."
We were quiet again for a while as he held me close he whispered in my ear, "becoming a vampire was the best thing that ever happened to me because i found you." I kissed him i felt safe in his arms. "I just want to be sure i voted the right way." I turned around now so that i could see him, "I don't remember my human life and the bits and pieces that i do fade away more and more everyday, the only thing that i remember is the pain and that stays with me everyday." "It's not knowing were i came from it bothers me i feel lost." He wrapped his arms around me, "You're not lost you belong right here with me." I felt his calming effect all around me and it put me at ease.
"This is the only life i know and i love it, i have you and a family i couldn't ask for more, but i don't know if Bella knows what she's giving up she has friends, Charlie, Renee and Phil all these people love her." Jasper looked at me "they love her now and they'll love her when she changes they won't be able to tell the difference between Bella now and the Bella she'll be very soon." "They'll notice when she stops eating at lunch, when she suddenly becomes paler than she already is now, how cold her touch will be and they'll notice when she looks at them weird because she'll be desperately trying to resist their blood."
Jasper sat up on the bed and i did the same he had both hands holding my face so that i was staring directly into his eyes. "Alice" he said sounding very serious, "I know we voted the right way, I don't regret voting yes and neither should you."
"look at it this way, how long has Edward waited for love? and now that he's found it i think it would be unfair for us to deny him of it." "Edward doesn't want to live without Bella and Bella doesn't want to live without Edward, so why should we fight it? It's going to happen one way or another. "If Edward and Bella can haves our kind of love shouldn't we let them? the only way i found you was by becoming a vampire, i don't even want to think about where I'd be if i hadn't found you, i was an animal before i met you."
His hand was on mine now and i loved his reassuring touch it let me know that everything was going to be o.k, it made all my worries disappear. "When i'm around you Alice the temptation disappears everything is easier for me when you're near i love having someone to come home to and i love having someone who cares for me." I kissed him again my arms around his neck i never wanted to let go , we were laying down now and Jasper had his arm around me, we stared up at the ceiling. "I guess" i said still staring up at the ceiling, i could feel his eyes on me, "if Edward feels that way about Bella then i'm glad we voted yes." "After all" i said snuggling closer to him "we do crazy things for the ones we love right?"
He just chuckled and brushed his lips against my forehead, "but we do crazier things to hold onto that love."
