All characters belong to Janet Evanovich, Also this song by Gary Allen I do not own I am just borrowing.
I hope you like it this is my first fanfic ever. I have read a couple thousand, but never written anything. I heard this song today and it reminded me of these characters.
Please read and review and let me know if I have any talent to write another one or if I am to be a one hit wonder. Sincerely Tracy
TODAY!
She looked so beautiful walking down the aisle, she was wearing a beautiful white strapless wedding gown, with a sweetheart neckline, red roses were arranged to gather the dress at
the back, with at least a six foot train flowing behind her, and a bouquet of red roses. I think in all the years I have known her, I have never seen her look more beautiful.
The groom was wearing your basic black tux with matching bowtie, never thought I would see the man in a tie of any kind. And a red cumber bun and matching red rose corsage.
It was as if no one else existed except them They never took their eyes off each other as they exchanged vows. And when he placed the ring on her finger I watched a tear run down her
cheek and wished it was my finger that wiped it away.
Today, he told her that he loved her
Put a ring around her finger
and promised her forever, together.
After the minister presented them husband and wife they gathered in the banquet hall for pictures, her smile was so beautiful, it lit up the whole room. Even her groom was smiling, and I
have to tell you, I didn't think the man knew how to smile.
When the pictures and the cake are done they make their way to the dance floor where they shared their first dance together as husband and wife, when he pulls her in his arms and
she smiles up at him I know I have lost her for good. The love shining in her eyes is there for everyone to see.
Today, she smiled for all the pictures
and he was right there with her
making all the memories without me
and it hurts to say this out loud
Looks like she's really gone now.
I stay until the end, when they make their way out of the church and set off for their honeymoon, I finally make my way to the car. I turn one last time toward the church and think "Manoso, you
are one lucky man." Then I get in my car and drive home.
Chorus:
Today, is the happiest day of her life
I should be happy for her today
so tell me why are these tears in my eyes?
I know I should be happy for her
But I've lost everything
I've lost everything I've ever wanted today
Today, I thought about the moment I could have said I loved her
And promised her forever together
Today, today it really hit me
That she don't really miss me
She's found a new beginning
And I'm wishing I had one more chance
God knows it's too late for that
Repeat chorus
Today, is the happiest day of her life
I should be happy for her
But I've lost everything
I've lost everything I've ever wanted
Today, he told he that he loved her
Put a ring around her finger
