A tiny little Sheriarty oneshot that has been on my phone... um... since 1st of January 2014. Yeah. I wrote it after the episode, because of THAT SCENE. You know which one I mean. I banged it out straight after, because I knew EXACTLY what should have happened. So here it is.
Sherlock did feel some pangs of guilt as he released the rope. For John... for everyone. But just the mere thought of the beautiful, beautiful irishman who sat next to him there on the rooftop... that was enough to outweigh anything.
He could hear Jim chuckling, and he joined in, quietly. Not laughing at John. No. Laughing about the blissful, true feeling that they were finally together. He turned toward Jim to see that ever newly stunning face smirking at him. He reluctantly returned the smile, and slowly leaned him. Jim mimicked him, and they kissed. Mouth to mouth, detective to criminal.
Sherlock Holmes was finally free.
