So this was an old story that I had written probably back when I was like 14 that I found just recently. I kind of liked this one, and I do remember posting it to here. I think people liked it; its short and sweet, straight to the point. I don't know why I wrote it, but whatever. I'm posting it again because why not. Also I'm trying to be active one here again since I've been getting back to writing. So let me know how you like it, if you do. It's kinda dumb to be honest, lol.
Mia gazed up into the dark sky above her that was littered with millions upon millions of little white specks. With her eyes talking in the breathtaking beauty and her heart and mind filling with spirit, she felt if there was nothing she couldn't do. Mia stared up into the sky, trying to imagine the auroras and the galaxies beyond the midnight stars she could see. She closed her eyes and inhaled the crisp air, letting her short golden hair flow in front of her face from the soft wind that blew.
As Mia sat on her windowsill, legs dangling over the edge, she heard a small creak that came from behind her. Unfazed by the noise, she kept her eyes on the sight before her. She closed her eyes again. In the next moment, she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her shoulders. She felt the person set their chin on the top of her head and sigh. Not wanting to break the silence, Mia lifted her chin up and rolled her eyes to see who the individual was. She saw a teen like herself, with long, black hair and dark eyes return her gaze. He lifted the corner of his lips into a slight grin, then go back down to his usual scowl.
Mia looked down at his arms that were wrapped around her. Leaning her head against his arm, she sighed with content. It was just Cole.
No they weren't dating, nor they had ever dated.
Nor had they ever loved each other.
Neither of them believed in true love. But that's what made them perfect for each other. That's what made them love each other, even though they didn't know it.
