Disclaimer: don't own Alanna, Jon or Raoul. Or the song Raoul sings.
Alanna was in her rooms one night, just practicing with her sword. She jumped as someone hammered on her door.
"I'm coming, I'm coming," she snapped irritably. Looking down at her sword, she grinned. Alanna opened her door, and held her sword high, over the unfortunate King Jonathan.
He paid no attention to the sharp object held above his head, and squeaked, "Hide me!"
"Pardon?"
"Hide me! They're after me!"
"Who is after you, Jon?"
"You know…they."
"No, I don't know they." Alanna snapped, crossing her arms, which was not the best thing to do, as her sword poked her in her side.
"Never mind, just listen!"
So Alanna stuck her head out of the door, and listened for anything at all that would explain her monarch's sudden madness.
She heard it. She giggled.
"Jon, that's just Raoul singing."
"Do you hear what he's singing?"
"No, Jon."
"Fine!" the king threw his hands up. "I'm going to go find someone who believes me!" He stalked out of the room, and in the opposite direction from Raoul and his singing.
Alanna just sighed and went back to her practicing.
And, just down the hall, Raoul was singing:
"Have you seen the ghost of Jon?
Long white bones with the skin all gone.
Oooooooohhhh
Wouldn't it be chilly with no skin on!"
A/N: don't ask…Just don't ask.
