Author's Note: This is my first time writing anything, so
if it is crap that's why. This was inspired by gilligankane's "Ten
Songs Challenge fic". Thanks to gilligankane for
encouraging me to write something.
We are at the bar, drinking away the ugliness of this last case. It wasn't the worst case we've had but it hit too close to home. All the victims, four in total, were women between 25-35 with long, blonde hair and blue eyes. They all looked like JJ.
"Wow, Prentiss, new outfit? You trying to get lucky tonight?" Morgan teases me.
I shoot my glance to Garcia to see if she betrayed my confidence before responding, "What this ole thing." I actually bought the shirt with Garcia an hour earlier. She convinced me that JJ would have to be blind not to notice me.
Before the teasing can continue Hotch and Reid arrive back to the table with our drinks. And Hotch asks, "Where's JJ?"
As in answer to his question Morgan, Garcia, and myself turn our gaze towards the dance floor. JJ is dancing provocatively between a couple. Their hands our touching places I dream of touching. As though she knows she's being watched she turns her head and our eyes lock.
As we are staring at each other I realize three things: One, Garcia was right. JJ does feel the same way about me as I do her. Two, she's teasing me. The dancing is all for me. Three, my dreams are going to come true tonight. I will get to touch and taste JJ in ways I've only dreamed about before.
