If Wishes Were Horses Author's notes: Part two in that good ol' sixteen-part poem series. ^_^ Mwaa... this one if from Patamon's POV... it's basically his thoughts as he watches TK go back to the real world. This one was inspired by that old proverb "If wishes were horses, beggars would ride" no da.

"If Wishes Were Horses"

The sun is sinking under
The horizon, it's time you to go.
And I can't help but wonder
Will I ever see you again?

You were the friend I never
Knew existed,
Never thought I'd ever
Have a friendship to call my own.

I'll miss you so,
I can't help that.
I wish you didn't have to go..
But some wishes don't come true.

If wishes were horses,
Beggars would ride.
With life comes choices
That are ours to decide.
My wish was a horse,
On which I could ride...
And I'm watching it gallop away.

There was a space in my heart
That only you can fill.
I fear I will fall apart
If you don't come back someday.

My wishes are wings
On which I can fly
By some things
Were never meant to get off the ground.

SNAP! They break,
I crash, fall,
Without you I am weak,
Not the angel I once was.

If wishes were horses,
