A 16 year-old girl stood behind the candy counter of the Tipton Hotel. She had dirty blonde hair, shoulder length hair. The girl had on a blue button down shirt with the Tipton hotel logo. She also had on her father's tie and a plaid mini skirt. On the tie was a nametag that read 'Madeline Margaret Genevieve Miranda Catherine Fitzpatrick'. Of course, this was the girl's name. But most people called her 'Maddie'.
An Asian girl, about the same age as Maddie, walked out of the elevator. "Little me back from my suite!" she yelled. She smiled and turned to Maddie. "Oh! Madeline!" She ran over to Maddie. The girl was the Tipton Hotel's official heiress. As she got to the candy counter, she started to pant. "Candy counter girl! Guess what?!" the girl asked. The girl's name was London Tipton.
"What London?" Maddie asked, paying more attention to the Teen Trend Magazine than London"Uh… I forgot!" London said. Maddie rolled her eyes. "Right…" Just then, two boys walked out of the elevator. One of the boys had on a blue sweater vest over his light blue button down shirt. On his legs were his favorite jeans. The boy's name? Cody Martin.
The boy that followed his was his twin brother, Zachary Martin. Zachary, or 'Zack', had on an orange T-shirt with a picture of a dragon on the front. He also had on khaki shorts. The boys were both 13 years old. The twins walked over to the candy counter. Zack smiled at Maddie. "Gimme some sugar, sweet thang!" he said, smoothly. Maddie smiled, but rolled her eyes. "Actually, make that two candy bars." Cody added, putting two dollars on the counter. Maddie put the two candy bars on the counter. "That would be four dollars." She said. Cody pushed his money towards Maddie. She nodded, then looked at Zack. He took four quarters out from his pocket. He then turned to Cody. "Can I barrow a dollar?" he asked. Cody sighed. "Here." He said, handing his brother a dollar bill. "Thanks!" Zack grinned as the put the money on the counter. Maddie took the money as the boys took the candy bars. "Thanks, sweet thang!" Zack grinned. The boys walked over to the couch and sat down.
Maddie turned to London. "So, do you remember what you were going to tell me?" she asked. London looked at her friend. "Huh…OH YEAH! Well, you remember Brandy?" Maddie nodded. "She adopted a son. So now, I have a new brother." London said. "Cool." Maddie said with a small nod. "How old is he?" she asked. London shrugged. "Dunno. I haven't seen him yet."
