Hey everyone. This story was brought to you by Herbology Hangout, and Elemental Magic: Introduction to the Four Elements assignment on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. For Herbology Hangout I wrote for Space!AU, and the character of Ginny Weasley. For Elemental Magic: Introduction to the Four Elements I wrote for the Extra Credit task #5 which was to Write a Space/void!AU. Word Count is 362. I hope you all enjoy Floating in the Dark.

Looking down upon the earth from far above felt almost wrong to young red haired witch. She'd been part of a wizarding envoy sent up by the British government. Not that the Muggles were quite thrilled to have a witch going along with them. And they were less thrilled when Harry asked to be added to the mission.

"You're thinking again," Harry stated as he watched Ginny stare out the window at the blue orb floating out in the dark of space. "What are you thinking about this time?"

Ginny Weasley wondered why he even bothered asking what she was thinking about. She'd been thinking the same thing she always did since they'd been sent up here. About home. About their family. About whether taking this chance was the right thing for her and Harry. She wouldn't admit it out loud but looking at Earth from here made her feel homesick.

"You're homesick again," Harry stated sympathetically putting a hand on her shoulder. "Aren't you?"

Ginny nodded sadly as she watched the world spin and wonder if her Mum was watching her and Harry's hands on the Weasley clock still sitting on out of this world. "I can't help it, Harry," she sniffled as tears sprung to her eyes. "I miss them. I miss them all."

"I do too," Harry told her nodding towards someone she couldn't see.

"What's going on Harry?"

It was then that the gravity seemed to cut out in their tiny shuttle. She could hear several of the men and women on board cursing and yelling to 'put the damn gravity back on'. But then Harry's hand came into view and a small smile played over Ginny's face.

"Care to take a anit-gravity dance with me, Mrs. Potter?"

"Of course, Mr. Potter."

Dancing like they had on their wedding day to the music playing in their own heads, Ginny Weasley felt like she was home for the first time in a long time. She would have to remember this episode so she would be able to Ron and Hermione about when they returned to Earth. But for now she was happy with her husband floating in the dark.

I hope you all enjoyed Floating in the Dark.
