He sat down on the computer and typed in the password and watched the people's faces and, bodies, and ID's flash by on the screen. Then suddenly stops flashing a number... He sat forward and typed in another password and their identities showed up on the screen. Nine boys and nine girls. He looked through their identities, and then took two out of each group. Seven each. Perfect. He set the code in and sat back, turning the computer off as the final message flashed across the screen: accepted and retrieving... He smirked into the darkness. Fourteen. Absolutely perfect.

The sun broke through the night sky and shined especially bright on the mirror. A tall standup mirror with dark gleaming oak trimmings with carvings of the moon's movements had appeared in all of their rooms during the night.

She woke up with a start as the sun reflected on the mirror, which shone brightly on her face. A mirror? She stood up and walked over to it, examining the glass, then the frame. The moon's movements? She sighed and went on with her day. The last day of college... the graduation... just yesterday. The room was littered with cards, gifts, and flowers...

By late night she was finished completely cleaning the house, and she collapsed on the freshly made bed, then froze. Sounds... movements... from the mirror... that weren't hers. She moved slightly, and then froze again as the saw the mirror. The glass wasn't reflecting her. It was showing someone else... it gave her an urge to go over to the mirror... to touch the smooth glass... She resisted the urge and fell asleep.

The next morning she woke up and stared at the mirror. Nothing was unusual. It reflected her and the sunlight. She walked over to it and felt the cool glass, then stared at the frame. The full moon and new moon symbols were glistening with... she hesitantly lowered her hand onto the symbols, then immediately jerked her hand back. It was burning hot... The next full moon was in four days. She decided to wait, and then see if the person... or thing would appear again. The day wore on.

Three days.

Two days.

Tomorrow.

She stayed up all night each night and slept during the day.

Today. The full moon shone brightly on the mirror and movements became distinct that were not hers. The urge became irresistible. She walked over, and touched the cool glass... and was pulled into the mirror.

Black.

Space.

Silence.

She moved through a vortex, then stopped and then was suddenly picked up by an invisible force that... picked her up... and hung her in the air along with everyone else. Five... seven... ten... fourteen. A red-haired... bandit was cursing vividly, whole the blue-haired one with a scar trickling down his cheek was obviously not very pleased either. The names came to her as she looked at the person, and she smiled. Her powers were coming back... Genrou was the hot headed one... Kouji was right next to him... Hikaru was.... studying?? Megami looked very tired... Faifu was standing next to Ranma. Tensei and Samantha... DT was with her two dragons. Hiiro, Wufei, Trowa.

And herself. Izumi. But what...?

A bright light flashed in the middle of the ring they had unknowingly formed into, and the thing... a man... that she had seen in the mirror appeared.

"You've been chosen."
