A/N Yes I am still writing Jane Doe, but I need a break. I lot of stuff is going down… Anyways, I came up with this story when I heard someone come into my work having this conversation (I work in retail). I have details below… I know there are a lot, but I want to be details rather than vague.
Details (Because I don't want to write another multi-chapter):
-This takes place far in the future; Addison 61, and Alex 60. They both are still working. Addison in Neonatal, and Alex in Ped
-Addison and Alex are 1 year apart
-they met in med school, and got married after they finished their internship.
-they had 3 children;
- Andrew is the oldest, Married to Vera Fisher, have a 5 yr old daughter, Emma, and a 2 yr son, Jonathan.
- Joshua is 3 years younger then Andrew, and married Athena Hall, and have a 2 yr daughter, Anne. Athena is pregnant.
- Charlotte is the youngest. She is 5 years younger then Joshua, and just married Alan Phillips, and are off on their honeymoon.
Let's start this thing!
Addison and Alex just finished work, and are heading home in the car.
"How was your day, Babe?" Alex asks as he is driving.
"It was just fine. What about yours?" Addison looks at Alex.
"It was fine also. There was this kid that came in. who broke his arm jumping off of a roof for his sister." Addison smiles. "Anything fun come in?"
"No. Nothing fun comes in to me. Just a lot of moody parents. I am the best in the field, and I get nothing fun." Addison turns her head to look at the road.
"I think that is because you are always so professional. You never let loose." Alex smiles because he knows he is picking a fight.
"I am fun! I can be funny! I bet our kids think I am fun!"
"When you were away the kids and I would talk about how you are always the one with the rules. I should say more rules than me." Alex says just glancing at Addison and then back at the road.
"You guys suck! I am going to prove it to you!" Addison says as she looks out the side window plotting a plan. "I will prove it to you tomorrow when we have to watch Emma when they take Jonathan to a birthday party."
The next day (Saturday)
Addison and Alex need to go shopping, so they took Emma with them. They walked into the store, and put Emma in the cart.
"Where do you want to go Emma?" Addison asks.
"TOYS!" Emma replies clapping her hands.
"What? You want to go to the toy section?" Addison says.
"Yes!"
"You never want to go to the toy section. Ever." Addison says with sarcasm.
"Always!" Emma claps her hands even more.
"Is grandma being funny?" Addison smiles looking at Alex.
"Grandma is always funny." Emma says with a smile on her face. The three smile and continue walking through the store.
Addison and Alex let Emma have one toy, and they did the shopping they needed to do before heading home. Emma fell asleep in the car.
"See! Grandma is always funny!" Addison says with a smile.
"I told her to say that." Alex says bracing himself as Addison smacks him in the arm. "Ow!"
"You're an Ass right?" Addison says as she looks back at the road.
"Yes I know. That's one of the reasons you love me." Alex smiles.
"Yeah…" Addison says "I love you always."
"And I love you too." Alex says as he reaches over to hold her hand. "And I didn't tell tell her to say that." Alex squeezes her hand as Addison smiles.
"I win." Addison says as she kisses Alex's hand.
