I stand there
Did they know,
Did they know I was there?

I hear the noises
It's so loud
It's a crescendo

My bag with a Hawk
I'm the Hawk no one wants
I'm the Hawk with a heart

I can turn and walk away
They wouldn't know
They don't know I'm here

I can't move
I don't want to move
I just want to play

I hear someone behind me
His footsteps echoing
I decide to open the door

They all stare at me
Hatred fills their eyes
I know I shouldn't be here

I could walk right back out
They'd be glad if I did
It would make my life easier

Hall comes closer
He tells me I don't belong
He's right and I know it

I could go out now
But their Coach just entered
Better make a choice now

I'll play for them
Hockey is life; It's my life
No matter where I stand
