How I Met You

Musa's Point of View

When I opened my eyes, I was blinded from the sun shining through the open curtains for a few seconds. I quickly closed my eyes but continued to see the lights through my eyelids. My foot felt like it was on fire. It didn't feel like it was burning from actual fire, but more burning from an endless pain deep in my nerves. The rest of my body felt extremely sore, like after my first conditioning class back home.

I was in pain.

I opened my eyes a crack and this time I wasn't blinded from the sunlight. I looked around mine and Tecna's room, trying to remember what happened earlier.

Flashback

The Winx Club were in the middle of our training battle class, learning how to protect and fight against all types of powers. At the moment it was Bloom, Stella, Flora, Tecna and I fighting against each other. Saying it was hard would be an understatement. For the past few weeks I had been training to fight with their powers, not against them.

I shot out a shield that blocked an attack from Tecna. The spell from the purple haired fairy rebounded and hit Stella, blowing her out of the air. She flickered back into her civilian clothes mid-landing and landed on the sandy ground with a soft thud. She groaned, but quickly sat up and rubbed the back of her head.

"Stella, you're out!" Stella grumbled before getting up and walking to the bleachers. Flora moved aside so there was room for Stella to sit by her, the two fairies being the only ones out.

"Sonic Blast!" I yelled. I willed my magical energy to form the spell I was performing against Tecna. Seconds after I shot the spell at her, she fell to her knees in her civilian clothing.

"Tecna, you're on the bench!"

I spun to face Bloom; she was the only one left for me to take down.

"Heat Storm!" Bloom yelled. She raised her hands to the ceiling, collecting magical energy, then brought it down and shot it at me.

"Funky Force Field!" I shouted. Instantly, a paper thin disco ball shield surrounded me. Bloom's attack hit it before it disappeared.

"Fire Ball," the dragon fairy countered. Before I could put another shield up, the attack hit me. I let out a small shriek and I fell through the air.

"Winner, Bloom!" The teacher called. I hit the ground at a weird angle and instantly felt pain in my foot. I looked down and only could see blood, making my head spin.

XxX

I didn't know what day it was, or how long ago I was knocked out, but I was in the nurses office. I kept asking questions, but nobody would answer them. All that I was told to do was go to sleep and I would get answers soon enough.

After a while I couldn't fight my tiredness and I fell asleep.

End of Flashback

I was in my dorm room and in my pyjamas. I had no idea how I got there, but the area around my bed had been set up for me. Painkillers and vile of a pink potion were set to the side along with a glass of water. I reached over and grabbed a sticky note placed over the glass of water.

Drink the Guarire and the glass of water. Take one painkiller if needed. Come see me if pain persists more than four hours.

Get well soon,

Ofelia

I reached over and took hold of the vile of the pink healing potion, the Guarire. I downed it in one sip, ignoring the taste, before gulping down the glass of water. I didn't feel the need for the painkiller, I was feeling almost as good as new, actually.

I heard some voices coming from the living area of the dorms and my interest spiked. I got out of bed cautiously, trying not to make a sound. It wasn't too hard since I endlessly spent my nights sneaking down these halls in search of my items I left behind in the living space.

When I got reached the living area, I saw the rest of the Winx and four really good looking guys lounging on our couch.

Bloom was the first one to notice me.

"Muse!" Bloom greeted. She jumped up from the couch and darted to me. She pulled me into a huge hug. "I'm so sorry for knocking you out. My attack was meant to break your shield, not hit you." Bloom said quickly.

"It didn't even leave a scratch," I told her honestly.

"But you passed out... Your foot..."

"It was more of a shock that made me faint. That paired with the sight of blood and feeling pain from my foot. You weren't even the one to hit my foot, I didn't use proper landing techniques." Seeing my friend's worried face, I pulled her into a hug. "I'm fine, Bloom. Thank you."

"Oh, alright. I'm still sorry though." Flora and Tecna were the next ones to rush up to me.

"How are you?" Tecna questioned.

"Are you feeling better?" Flora followed. I answered their questions again, explaining that my injures weren't even extensive. I was surprised nobody told them I wasn't badly hurt.

"Cute pants by the way," Bloom said absentmindedly, looking down at my light purple pyjamas. "From Magix or your planet? I tota-"

"Sorry to interrupt, B, but who are these people?" I looked around the room quickly before turning back to my friend. The guys did look familiar from the Red Fountain dances and I'm fairly sure I seen them around Magix a few times. I just was never formally introduced.

"Just some really smoking hot guys Stella picked up," Bloom mumbled under her breath. I stifled a laugh. She hadn't said it quiet enough and the guys heard. Their faces were priceless.

"This is Prince Sky," Stella said. She sent me a wink and a smirk. I nodded and smiled hello to the brown haired Specialist. "Over there is Brandon." She gestured to a blond haired guy across the room. I felt a slight nudge from Bloom and realization spread across me. She must like him. "That's Timmy," the Solarian princess continued. Timmy had orange hair and glasses and I couldn't help but feel he would be a good match for Tecna. "Finally, over there, we have Riven." Stella pointed behind me to where a dark magenta haired Specialist stood. I felt my heart rate speed up and my mouth go dry.

"Uhmm, hi, I'm Musa," I introduced myself slowly, still looking at Riven. I had definitely seen him before. At my favourite music store, no less. We stared at each other for a while before Riven turned away with a smirk on his face. I heard him mumbled something under his breath, but I didn't quite catch it. "What?" I asked. Riven looked up at me, slightly surprised.

"Did we forget to mention that Musa is the Keeper of Sound?" Stella stated sheepishly.

"Yeah, you kinda left that part out," Riven muttered. "What I said was 'nice clothes,' they really bring out the slumber in you. For a few seconds, I was confused. I blushed when I realised what he was talking about. I was still in my sleeping clothes; a black t-shirt and purple cotton pants covered in musical rhythms.

"Oh, thanks." I flushed. "Aren't they just hip?" I mocked myself before shaking my head at myself. Of course I would go to meet cute guys in pyjamas.

"You just can't beat music notes," Riven said, playing along.

"Actually, you can," I countered. It took a few seconds for my pun to register with the Specialist, but when it did, it earned me a wide smirk.

"Okay, you two, that's quite enough," Stella muttered playfully. "Go change into something, darling, we have guests."

"I would have been dressed properly if I knew we had guests," I pointed out. The girls looked sheepish. "You get knocked out for a few hours and you miss everything." I turned around and walked back to my room, changing into my normal red top and jeans.

I glanced back down at my table with medicine and picked up the vial again.

Take with food.

"Well..." I muttered. That completely went out the window, I didn't even know when the last time I ate. Breakfast that morning? Did I eat while I was in the nurses office and just not remember?

Deciding it was better to have food near the time she took the potion, she set the vial down and ventured off to their little kitchenette down a side hallway. I turned the corner to the kitchen and bumped into something.

"Sorry!" I gasped, looking who I bumped into. Riven stood, his eyes alert and a smirk spread across his face. His arm grasped my wrist and the doorframe, keeping us both from falling. "I'm sorry." Looking to the ground, I noticed he dropped a sandwich from the impact. "Sooooo sorry."

"It's fine, Musa. It's just some bread," Riven said.

We were standing pretty much pressed up against each other, but I don't think either of us minded. I looked down and noticed that he was still holding my hand. I blushed and started to pull my hand away. I stopped because he kept a tight hold on it. Riven quickly pulled out a pen and scribbled something onto my hand. Finally he let go.

"Riven, time to go!" one of the other guys said.

"Maybe I'll talk to you later?" I offered. Riven smirked and nodded.

"Yeah, maybe," Riven agreed.

"Bye," we both said at the same time. We shared a small laugh before he turned and started walking away.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a few crackers from the counter. I munched on them before glancing down at my hand.

My phone-number-covered hand.

"Oooooo, he likes you! He likes you! He really, really likes you!" Stella sang childishly. She repeated it over and over as she skipped through the dorm.

"Yeah, he does, no question about that," Blood said. She turned to me and smiled. "But the question isn't that, it's more of a do you like him?"

"Maybe," I whispered. I bit my lip and looked back down at my hand. I quickly picked up my cell and programmed his number into my phone. When I looked back up, the rest of the Winx were busy around the dorm. I smiled and looked at the number again. "Riven."

There we go. The way I want to be seen as a writer for now. I haven't read through the edited verson, you have been warned.

I know it's AU and it may be OOC, but I really liked it. It's short and sweet, so I'm sorry if I stayed too far away from their original characters. It was just too fun to write!

I hoped you liked it! Review and you'll make my day.

Thanks!

Kisses,

Paw
