"Oh you best believe he won't be blowin' up my phone any time soon!" Naya laughed, hopping up from the couch at the sound of the doorbell. "Coming!" She called, hurrying to let in the last member that they were expecting.
The monthly First Ladies Club meetings were always mandatory.
"Heeeeeeey!" A short brunette with a bright smile greeted her at the doorway and reached up for a hug as wine bottles clinked in her hands. "How's my Snix?" Naya playfully snatched the drinks and led the way to the room where the other glee girls awaited a relaxing evening of chatting, gossiping, and-of course-wine drinking.
"Wow! Looks like you got some sun!" Heather marveled, making room on the sofa for the newest arrival. "How was Cabo?"
Lea Michele stopped in her tracks and held out a hand, accompanied with a big smile. "Un-be-lievable."
"Oooooh!..." Jenna laughed as Naya handed Lea a glass of wine. "So let's hear all about it..."
"Whoa! Whoa, cuttin' to the chase right off the bat! I haven't even had my first drink yet!" The actress laughed, taking a sip and flickering her dark eyes around the room. It seemed as though all eyes were on her. "I don't know what you want me to say! It was relaxing, gorgeous, amazing. We had such a great time."
"Alright, alright, but we want some deets. You missed last months for this boy so we need to hear the juice." Naya pointed, while Amber gave a hearty "Amen!".
"Oh my gooood!" Lea laughed. "Alriiiiiiight! Um...Well the resort was beauuuutiful." She explained with a lavished wave of her hand. "I think I liked it a little better than when I went with Steph. There was like literally a bar in the water, which I kind of thought was cool." The tiny woman smiled innocently and shrugged her shoulders. "Cory and I got closer I think. I mean we had a lot of good talks."
"Note the smile on 'talks', y'all. Note the smile on 'talks'."
"Shut up, Naya!" The loud cackle was followed by a straightening of her back and another swig of wine. "Alright, alright, you're right. I'll share. Well firstly, ya know, it's like a hundred degrees there and of course I'm like 'Coryyyyy, gotta remember the sunscreen!' and next thing you know he's a lobster. Because he doesn't listen to me. So the first night was rough because, ya know, let's just say things were painful."
"Ohhh..." Dianna grimaced.
"Yeah." Lea wrinkled her nose. "But that meant I had to help with the aloe which basically turned into lots of canoodlin' on the balcony of our suite..."
The girls clapped and laughed in approval and the little singer's cheeks flushed pink. "And we just had a lot of time to talk and things too so that was really great. We were talking about bucket lists and places we want to travel and it sort of led to the whole idea of us after 'Glee'. And..." Lea toyed with the hem of her shirt, keeping her eyes on the glass in her hands. "And I don't think either of us went into this thinking it would be this...intense...but we make each other really happy. Right now we're still kind of getting used to the paparazzi knowing and that's a big step for our privacy but we're thinking that by the time season 4 ends..."
Jenna irked a brow. "Like...you mean like marriage?"
Lea's eyes widened and she gave a little shrug. "I mean we've-we've talked about it. It's gotten to the point where I think that's the only logical step. I'm usually so career-focused when it comes to where I see myself in, say, a year...but I can honestly say that I see myself with him. For a very long time."
"Can I just say I called it?" Di smiled, giving her former-roommate an affectionate nudge.
The petite brunette beamed happily at the approval and sucked in her lips. "He said he would ask me when Glee is over. I don't have to feel pressured to commit to that right now but he's going to ask."
"Well what do you know." Amber said with a shake of her head. "Looks like the Canadian got her."
