I ran through the streets. I groan loudly in pain as I trip and fall on sharps rocks. Said rocks cut deep into my leg. I quickly get up from where id fallen and continue to run through the pain. The blond and his friends laugh as they chase me. I take sharp turns toward the woulds as I run. Dispite the pain and trouble I continue to run through the woods before I come to a stream where I stop and look around. I breathe heavy as I bend down and clean the wounds on my knee. I look up at the sound of a twig being broken on the other side of the stream. A large black wolf growls and steps closer. I fall backwards in my panic to get away from the large beast. The large black wolf jumps at me only to be cut down by a larger red fox thats jumped from the clift above me. As lighting stricks and lights the forest I can see the large animals fight. Their growls filling the night air as a blond man and red haired woman grab my shoulders and pull me up from the ground.
"your alright now little one' the woman whispers as she holds me close in her arms. I lay my head on her shoulder feeling safter but still scared. She rubs my back and makes shushing sounds. I close my eyes only to have them and my body jerk awake at the sound of a loud bang. I look over at the large animals only to see them both on the ground bleeding.
"NO!" I scream loudly as I struggle from the woman's grip. Once my feet hit the ground im runing to the fox. I sob louder at the sight when I reach the damaged wolf. A large gash in his throat bleeds angry red blood. The fox looks at me and licks away my tears as they fall. "pleas be ok" I beg the large creature. When I finally look into the face of the large beast im drawn in by his deep blue eyes staring back into my soul. I drop to my knees next to his head I hug his snout to me tightly. "thank you" I sob through my tears. When it sits up im lifted up with it as my grip around its snout remains strong. It lowers me onto the cliff with the other two. It licks my tears away and leans its forhead against mine before dashing off. The woman picks me up and holds me close as the man goes over to the unmoving wolf. The woman walks us away as the man pulls out a large knife. I burry my head into her shoulder my tears long forgotten as I yawn. I turn and face where were going only to see us leaving the woods and heading to a large 2 story house outside the village. Once inside she sits me down in a chair.
"lets get that leg cleaned and dressed so we can get you home" she smile. I nod as I return a weaker smile. "but first can you do me a favor?" I nod again "promise me you wont tell anyone \about the fox because if you do the villagers will hunt the fox down and we dont what that now do we?" I shake my head no unable to speak. She smiles back before cleaning the wounds on my knees and legs. Once cleaned she dresses them with a bandage and hands me a cookie. I smile happily as I chow down on said cookie. Only three cookies later the man from before comes into the house smiling at us. He nods to me.
"are you ready to go home?" he asks. I mearly sigh and nod. But before leaving the back door of the house opens. I turn only to be met by a glare from the boy who had chased me earlier that day. The man sighs as the boy storms up the stairs. The man picks me up and carries me home.
