Hey everyone! So I had this idea in my head for a story while I was taking a week long intensive Philosophy class. Instead of paying attention, I wrote this chapter. Don't worry, I passed the course! So here it is. Let me know what you think.

Summary: Love sneaks up upon you in the most interesting way. Bella Swan never believed in true and lasting love. Why should she, her parents divorced when she was little and Bella saw the heartbreak from that. Love knocked on her door senior year at Uni, surprising Bella and making her start to believe in happily ever after.

Waking up at 8 am is not something I like to do. I especially don't like doing it the day before a new semester starts. The only reason I am awake and slightly coherent is because I want to clean up before my new flatmate arrives. My old flatmate left a few weeks ago to study abroad in London. She got a job interning at L'Oreal, so I don't know if she'll want to come back.

An hour and a half into cleaning, I only had the tub left to rinse out. As my iPod shuffled to create a new mix, my RA Randy walks in and slams my door to get my attention.

"Hey Bella. You know, you really shouldn't leave your door open like that all the time. Someone could just walk in, and with the level you play music, we'd never hear you scream!"

"Aww, thanks for the concern and advice Randizzle, but since I have you as an RA I'd just come running to you and you could use your spiffy vampire slaying skills and save the day." I replied with a sarcastic smile.

"Hey now… don't be making fun of Woody. That stake has gotten me through some scary duty rounds."

While Randy was going on about his 'mad slayer skills', I finished cleaning the tub and put the bathroom products back into the cupboard.

"You know I love you Randy, but is there a reason to your visit? Other than reminding me about how …. special you are?"

"As a matter of fact, there is. I wanted to let you know that your flatmate just checked in so she should be here soon."

"Oh yay! I can't wait to meet her. What's she like? Do you think we'll get along?"

"Well I hope you get along. I want a drama free semester." We both laughed at that. Like it would ever be completely drama free here. "But I think you two will get along. She seems nice. She just transferred here, something about wanting to be closer to her family."

Randy and I talked a bit more, mostly about the pros and cons to using the same actors in most Tim Burton films, before he left. Deciding that it would be better to meet my new flatmate in clothes that didn't smell like industrial strength cleaner, I went into my room and changed into my preferred choice. American Eagle jeans, Uni sweatshirt, and flip flops. While trying to choose between red flip flops or black with white shattered hearts, someone knocked on my door.

As I reasoned with myself that tripping over the rug, again, would not be beneficial, I make it to the door without incident. As I open the door, the first thin I see is not the pile of leaves that Randy must have left on his way out, but at a dark-haired girl with a truck load of luggage. Before I can even form words, the girl launches herself at me and hugs me tight around my neck. This is either my flatmate or a pixie has crash landed in New England.

Wow. That chapter looked a lot longer when I wrote it out. So I'm in the process of writing the next chapter and hopefully it will be up in a few days. Reviews are welcome!
