Raito woke up that morning and immediately knew today wouldn't be a good day. His head hurt, he was dizzy, and felt like he could throw up at any given time. But he refused to rest because of that stupid thing called his pride. He would not be seen as weak. But as he made his way to the HQ, he began to feel increasingly worse.

Finally arriving at his destination, Raito decided on taking the elevator instead of the stairs to the top floor, but as the elevator started moving, he knew he had made a bad decision. He fell backwards from dizziness and doubled over, dry heaving, for he hadn't eaten that morning. To make things worse, the dry heaving made his headache stronger. Despite the crappy trip, Raito finally arrived at the top floor, walked in, and got straight to work.

The first thing L noticed about Raito was that he was very pale, and had a faint flush on his cheeks. They were the only two who were there today as everyone else had the day off, which was rare, but hey, it's gotta happen sometime...

"Raito are you feeling okay? You look sick." L inquired. "Huh? Ya...m'fine..." He slurred. His breath had quickened and he was swaying as he stood to get his laptop. On his way over to the table, he stumbled but caught himself on the couch, leaning heavily on the armrest. L quickly got up and went over to Raito, taking his arm just before he fell to the ground.

L put his hand to Raito's forehead and pulled away after feeling the intense heat radiating off of him. L rushed to lay him down then went and got some medicine, some water, and a wash cloth.

Laying the wet cloth onto Raito's head, L gently stroked the boy's cheek, watching him as he had what seemed like a nightmare. "N-no please..." Raito cried softly in his sleep. L gently shook the boy awake "Raito, wake up you're dreaming." He whispered. "...R-Ryuuzaki?" Raito's eyes were half lidded from just waking up. "What happened...?" He continued. "You passed out Raito. How do you feel?" L explained. "Way better than I did before, but my head still hurts..."

L helped Raito to sit up and had him take some medicine. "Why didn't you tell anyone you felt sick?" L asked. "I didn't want to be viewed as weak. Plus, I've never been sick before so I thought it wasn't that bad." Came the reply. "Raito everyone gets sick, it's no big deal. Next time just tell someone okay? I don't like to see you hurt..." L didn't realize he said the last part aloud until it was too late. A blush rose to his cheeks along with Raito's. "Um, t-thanks...Ryuuzaki."

For a few seconds they stared at each other, then, slowly, L leaned forward and his lips brushed against Raito's. "I...I love you , Raito..." He said. And Raito smiled softly, quickly kissing L on the lips. "Love you too." He laughed.
