For the longest time I've been a Caroline and Tyler fan. In fact, I refused to have even the slightest interest in Caroline and Klaus. But 3x14 Dangerous Liaisons somehow made me start to like the pairing. This is a tag from the episode that deals with Caroline contemplating her feelings for Klaus. Hope you like it!
Illustrated Essence
Caroline couldn't sleep. Her mind was being plagued with nightmares about Tyler and her father. Any good dream that started to blossom, was immediately tainted with blood and death. She crawled out of bed and walked over to her dresser. The picture that Klaus had drawn for her was wedged inside the mirror. Caroline gripped the parchment and it slid out with ease. She still couldn't believe that the artist was someone that most everyone in Mystic Falls was wary of. It was as if Klaus had captured her essence and then illustrated it on this paper. It was so beautiful. Caroline had difficulty tearing her eyes away from it. There was something about Klaus that intrigued her, but at the same time she knew better than to get involved with someone like him. Still, he had seemed sincere when he called her beautiful, strong, and full of light. Most girls fantasized about hearing those words. Caroline knew that she loved Tyler, there was no doubt in her mind. Yet she couldn't put the picture down or stop thinking about Klaus's words to her. She hated this uncertainty, but she couldn't deny that she was lonely. Maybe she needed Klaus right now. Whether as a friend or more, she needed him.
