It was the last day Sydney and Vaughn would be in Santa Barbara, and to their misfortune, it was a terrible rainy day.
"Syd…Wake up." Vaughn said as he gently shook Sydney's sleeping figure.
"Hmm…Vaughn, how early is it?" Sydney mumbled.
"It's 11:30, you slept in." Vaughn replied, showing one of his genuine smiles.
"Oh, and I bet I know why I was so tired. We both didn't get much sleep last night." Sydney said with a huge grin.
"That's right, and it was well worth the lack of sleep." said Vaughn, mirroring her smile.
"Oh, and by the way, I made you breakfast; bacon, eggs, toast and hot coffee."
After a few minutes of feeding each other and laughing at jokes of Kendall's extremely shiny head, which Sydney noted could be used as a mirror. The couple decided to get up and prepare for their final day in paradise.
"Thank you for breakfast this morning, Michael." Sydney said, while trying to clean up their hotel room.
"Hey, you called me Michael. I like it." Vaughn realized. As he walked over to help.
"Well in that case, Michael, Michael, Michael, Mich-…" Sydney tried to finish, but was unable. Vaughn had grabbed her by the waist and was smoldering her lips with his.
"-ael. Wow! So…um… anyway, what should we do today." Sydney said, trying to get her mind off the not so clean thoughts racing through her mind.
"Well, since it's raining, we'll have to stay indoors." Vaughn stated, looking at the rain falling in sheets out the five story window.
"Thank you Captain Obvious." Sydney said in a mock tone. Picking up old Chinese food cartons and tossing them in the garbage can.
"Hey, that wasn't nice! But anyway, I was thinking we could go see a movie and get some dinner."
"But Vaughn, it's only one, the movies don't start until four. What might I ask do you have planned to do until then?" asked Sydney, turning to face him.
"Well…I had one idea. That is, if you are up for another round." Michael said, flashing one of his seducing smiles.
"Vaughn, if you are talking about Scrabble, I seem to remember beating you four times in a row!"
"Miss Bristow, you know I am not capable of matching you in a vocabulary game. However, I had one other idea that didn't involve much vocabulary, let alone talking."
"Michael! Are you trying to seduce me?" Sydney asked, putting a hand up to her mouth, acting surprised.
"I hate to admit it…but hell yea!" Vaughn replied, looking at her with a wide grin.
Sydney giggled and grabbed his arm, dragging him back to their queen sized mahogany sleigh bed. Vaughn literally swept her off her feet and gently set her on the cream colored comforter, kissing her gently. Sydney took over, she pinned him down and let her hands creep up under his navy blue shirt, feeling his strong abs. Slowly, and with much care and skill, she pulled his shirt off, not breaking their kiss for more than two seconds. Vaughn, surprised at Sydney's dominating attitude, didn't resist, he just returned the favor and unbuttoned her shirt. Soon, all clothes were in a pile beside the bed.
