Percabeth Proposal

It was the 4th of July. Percy and Annabeth were walking on the beach, holding hands at Camp Half-Blood. They were 21. They had both just finished college. Percy was a Marine Biologist and Annabeth was an architect. The Hephaestus cabin was setting of the best firework show Percy had ever seen. It was celebrating the 6th anniversary of Percy, Annabeth, Frank, Hazel, Jason, Piper, and Leo's defeat of Gaea.

"Annabeth, you know what we should do?" Percy asked, a devilish look in his eyes.

"What?" Annabeth asked, tentatively.

"Go for a little midnight swim" Percy said, pulling her towards the lake.

"Percy, it's the middle of the night. What's going to happen when the fireworks show ends and everyone goes to sleep and the harpies come out," Annabeth said, resisting Percy's persistent pulling.

"I'll protect you," Percy said.

"Really," Annabeth said, rolling her eyes.

"Hey, if I can defeat a giant, I think I can fight off several harpies," Percy said, leaning down to kiss her.

"Percy, seriously, I don't want to get in trouble." Annabeth said, stopping.

"Fine, but there is no rule against kissing the prettiest girl at camp," Percy said. He leaned down and kissed her. They stood there, kissing for several moments. Then Percy quickly picked up Annabeth and threw her into the lake, and jumped in after her. He made a air bubble at the bottom. Just like he did when Clarisse and the other camper threw them in after The Titan War.

"Percy, what are you doing." Annabeth asked when she caught her breath and had coughed out all the water she inhaled.

"Spending some time with my girlfriend without having her worry about harpies." He said, lying down at the bottom of the bubble. He patted the spot next to him, but Annabeth was still mad at him and refused. But Percy continued patting the bubble and Annabeth gave up and laid down next to him. She used his arm as a pillow. After several minutes of silence, Annabeth spoke up.

"Percy, what does this remind you of?" Annabeth tested Percy hoping he would remember their second kiss.

"Well, it reminds me of two things. Our second kiss and that time we fell asleep in the stables of the Argo II," Percy said, smiling at the memories.

"I didn't think of the second thing. Remember how much Frank blushed when he caught," Annabeth smiled as she remembered Frank's face.

"Remember your red face," Percy said laughing at his girlfriend.

"Haha," Annabeth mocked," Percy, what are we going to do when camp ends?" Percy was offered a position in Australia to study the animals there.

"Well, I have one idea. Come with me," Percy said.

"What about my career?" Annabeth asked.

"I'm sure you can find some amazing company and work there. I mean, anybody would be stupid not to hire you," Percy said. Annabeth thought for a moment.

"Yes," she said, " I would love to come with you."

"Really?" Percy asked. He didn't think she would actually say yes.

"Yes. It seems like the only option." Annabeth said smartly.

"Well, I have another option," Annabeth looked confused, "Annabeth Chase, will you marry me?" Percy asked with a mischievous smile and devilish look in his eyes.

"Of course Seaweed Brain. I have been waiting for five years for that." Annabeth said, then kissed her fiance. Percy smiled as they kissed, but didn't stop. They spent that night in the air bubble. Chiron found them the next morning and laughed at them.

Percy and Annabeth were married at Camp Half-Blood at the end of the summer and then moved to Australia for two years, then moved to Florida, then to California, then to Hawaii, for Percy's job. Wherever Percy and Annabeth moved, Annabeth found a job. After ten years of marriage, they had three kids: Rachel, Sally, and Paul. They both lived a long life and died at the age 89.
