Just a weird ONE-SHOT that popped into my head earlier today. (Keep that in mind: weird)

Summary: These are the rules, and the rules are everything.

Disclaimer: I don't own teen titans.

"...not this time, titans!" and with that, Slade pulled a shiny metallic object out from the inside of his . . . uniform.

The reaction was immediate. Starfire gasped. Robin's eyes narrowed. Raven bit her lip, blood would be spilt tonight.

Slade had a hostage, a pretty young girl of perhaps eight teen with straight blond hair and scared green eyes. When she saw the gun, she whimpered in fright.

Cyborg growled. "Why you son of a -"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!!" came Beast boy's voice, "Hold everything!"

Beast boy took a few steps foreword so he was in between the two groups. His hands were held out in the universal sign for 'stop'.

"Beast boy!" yelled Robin, "what are you doing?"

"I'm sorry to interrupt the moment, Robin, said Beast boy informatively, "but this is against the rules."

"Rules? What rules?" asked Slade indignatly.

Beast boy ignored the question. "Sorry, Slade, but the rules clearly state that no guns are allowed in this show."

Slade's gun disappeared with a loud 'pop' and a puff of swirling pink fog.

"What? What the - how did you do that!?" Slade demanded.

"Yeah, BB, how did you do that?" asked Cyborg, scratching the back of his head in confusion.

"It's The Rules," he said as if that explained everything. When everyone continued to look lost, he gave an exasperated sigh, threw out his arms, and explained, "You know, the same rules that say no cursing or swearing," he said looking pointedly at Cyborg who rolled his eyes.

Beast boy continued, with his hans planted on his hips, "No one's allowed to die a gruesome death, no blood, nothing too graphic, no non-friendly insults that might offend someone, no guns, nothing that would cause an international disaster, Starfire and Robin's relationship has to be strictly on a PG level . . ."

"What!?" cried Robin, wide - eyed after Beast boy said that last one.

Beast boy nodded solemnly. "Yep. I've been meaning to talk to you two about that. . ." he said, wagging his finger at them, which caused Robin and Starfire to turn red and look in separate directions.

"Starfire's not allowed to show any more skin either," said Beast boy matter of factly. "We aren't supposed to show belly buttons, but Star gout out it because she doesn't have one."

"How come you know the rules and we don't?" asked Cyborg.

Beast boy shrugged.

"That is so stupid," muttered Raven.

"Hey," said Beast boy angrily, "I don't make the rules,"

He walked back to the titans, and resumed his original position. "Okay," he said, "now, lets do that again,"

"You know what," said Slade, "I quit!"

Roughly unhanding his hostage, he stomped away. After looking around warily for a second, the hostage also snuck away, tentivly.

"...We are ... victorious?" came Starfire's hesitant voice.

"eh, sure why not," said Raven.

"My relationship with Star has to be on a PG level," huffed an angry Robin with his arms crossed, "does that sound like a victory to you?"

-Please refrain from using guns in Teen Titan non-alternate universe fictions, as they are forbidden.
