This idea just popped into my head the other day and I had to write it down. A little bit sad. Please no flames, constructive criticism is welcome.

Jason POV:

She looked up at me and smiled, Piper McLean, strongest Aphrodite camper camp half blood had ever had, and my girl friend and here she was, sitting in front of me dying. "Jason Grace" she said "Before I go I need you to promise me something." "Anything" I replied "Fight your very best even though I will be gone" she smiled "and defeat Gaea for me K?" I smiled back at her "Of course." And with that Piper McLean, daughter of Aphrodite, one of the seven greatest demigods of her time, wielder of Charm-Speak and the most beautiful person you would ever meet inside and out, took her final breath and died in my arms.

The battle continued to rage on around us and I fought hard with my dad at my side true to my word. And when the battle moved to Camp Half-Blood I fought my hardest. Leo and I fought Gaea for 3 long and tiring hours, I pulled her into the sky, while Leo followed us on Festus, and held her there the air doing my bidding. Leo threw fire at her and I hit her with lightning until finally I took her out with the largest bolt I had ever summoned disintegrating her and knocking me out of the sky. I fell to the earth far to exhausted to call the air to cushion me. As I hit the ground I knew it was over, I could feel my body reduced to a disfigured shape and hear the sicken cracks of my bones.

The rest of the seven came over to me I could see that they were in tears or almost there. Percy came over to me and though he wasn't crying yet I could see the tears in his eyes. "We lost Piper already" he cried "we can't lose you too!" Annabeth scrambled around. "Where's the ambrosia? We nectar over here!" "No" I managed to say. They all turned to look at me. Hazel knelt down beside me. "Jason we have to heal you." I smiled at her "don't waste you ambrosia, I won't heal I'm to badly hurt." She was in tears now but I had to keep going. "No one could have prevented it, the line of the prophecy, 'an oath to keep with a final breath' this is my promise, my 'oath', to Piper and soon will be my final breath." They were all in tears now. I took a breath and turned to Leo. "Goodbye Leo, I know you'll find her." Leo smiled through his tears. I continued to look at each one in turn smiling and looking them in the eyes. "Goodbye Hazel, your curse will be gone soon. Goodbye Frank, you'll make a great praetor. Goodbye Annabeth, you did amazing with the mark. Goodbye Percy, will you finish what I started and make sure that more minor gods get temples or cabins at the camps?" Percy nodded, I smiled and just before the darkness took over I heard them whisper simultaneously "Goodbye Jason, say hello to Piper for us."
