Pepper sniffed as she collapsed onto her bed. She glanced up and saw her bedroom door was wide open, so she chucked her pink pillow at it, slamming it shut.

Pepper was grounded; the reason why wasn't important, but because she wasn't allowed to leave the house, she was missing one of the biggest nights of her life-prom. Pepper had been dreaming about this night for weeks, and she even had picked out the perfect dress. But now she was going to miss it.

Pepper wasn't sure how long she laid on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. It might have only been a few minutes, or maybe even an hour. But after a while, she heard a knock at her bedroom window. Pepper, confused, pushed herself off of her bed and crossed the room to her window. She was surprised to see Tony, bundled up in a thick blue jacket, nose and cheeks red from the cold. He grinned and pointed at the window, and Pepper quickly opened it.

"Come in, it's freezing out there!" Pepper cried, and Tony scrambled over the windowsill and into the dimly lit room, slightly shivering. Pepper closed the window and turned to face Tony, who was shedding his thick jacket. "Tony, why aren't you at prom?"

"I heard you couldn't come, and I didn't want you to be alone. So, I decided to give you company."

Pepper smiled and lightly blushed. "That's sweet of you."

"I know, right?" Tony joked. Pepper sat down on the edge of her bed, and Tony followed suit. The two talked for a while, laughing and joking for almost an hour. But a little while later, Pepper began to quiet a little, making Tony a little worried.

"I never got to dance," Pepper whispered so quietly Tony could barely hear her. "I didn't get to go, so I didn't get to dance." Tony watched her for a moment before jumping up off of the bed.

"We can still dance," he told her. Pepper's brown eyes widened.

"What?"

"It's not too late. We can still dance." Tony crossed the room to Pepper's radio, and he turned on a slow song. Then he strode back over to Pepper and gave a little bow, holding out his hand. "Pepper Potts, would you care to dance?" Pepper giggled, placing her hand in Tony's, and the teen pulled her to her feet.

"Why, Tony, I thought you'd never ask!"

Tony gently wrapped his arms around the girl's waist, and Pepper folded her arms around his neck. They swayed slowly back and forth to the music, their gazes locking together. After a moment, Pepper gently rested her head against Tony's chest, closing her eyes. Tony smiled, tilting his head towards Pepper's, holding her close.

"You really are amazing, Pepper," he whispered to her, and Pepper smiled, blushing.

"You are too."
