Edith was broken out of her thoughts by the entrance of the doctor.
The doctor asked Anthony to wait outside while she performed a quick examination.
After what seems like hours the doctor asked him to come back in.
'Your child seems to be fine sometimes women do bleed during pregnancy.'
'I suggest you take it easy for the next few days and put your feet up while your husband takes care of you, she said smiling at them both.
As soon as they got home Anthony placed Edith on the sofa then he sat down next to her wrapping his arms around her. Edith could not help but sink into him both of them feeling the need to be close to each other as humanly possible.
'I'm so sorry for for bothering you at work Anthony I feel so stupid for calling you, I know you had a very important meeting.'
Anthony had completely forgotten about the not so important meeting he had scheduled with Mary and Robert he could not help but smile at the thought of Mary getting there and realising for once she was not the centre of the world.
He knew he would not hear the end of it for some time, but he could not find it himself to care.
He turned his body so he could see Edith face and said 'for a highly intelligent women you can be quite silly sometimes you are not a bother and you did the right thing by calling me there is nothing more important to me in this world than you and if you ever need me I will always move heaven and earth to be there for you, Now I believe doctors orders where for you to put your feet up while I take care of you so I suggest you sit there while I go and put the kettle on.'
