Soothing

It has been a year since the last time they had all met up like this but none of them have changed much.

Leorio/Kurapica hints, G, sap. I got stuck on the other things I'm trying to write, so I let a little ficlet pop out instead.

"They seem to feed you well at that mansion, at least." Leorio says when the somewhat hesitant 'long time no see' greetings are done and over with. He is still ruffling Gon's hair with one hand as he lets his eyes roam over Kurapica's body thoughtfully. It has been a year since the last time they had all met up like this but none of them have changed much. Kurapica might be a bit taller, face a bit more mature, but it could just as well be Leorio's imagination and careful scrutiny that makes him see ghost centimetres. And pounds, for that matter. "I think you've gained weight."

Gon utters a surprised "oh?" and grabs one of Kurapica's hands to examine. Leorio is sure that, if it had been anyone else than Gon, Kurapica would have snatched his hand away and glared at whoever might have dared to invade his private space. As it now is, he blinks at Gon a few times, at his hand, and then his head whips up and he directs a perfect glare towards Leorio.

Leorio grins and tilts his head, deciding to let his eyes speak over Gon's and Killua's heads. 'Hey', he lets them say. 'Just kidding. Nice to see you again.'

Kurapica keeps the glare up a moment before relaxing. His eyes aren't quite soft, but perhaps that would have been too much to hope for.

At least it's nice to know that, despite so much time apart, the two of them can still communicate without words.
