It was a sunny friday morning and Len was actually excited about going to school that day. Why, you may wonder. Why, I'll tell you. Len enjoyed school. He liked learning and he liked challenging himself, but today was particularly a better day because the school cafeteria was making banana splits.
He practically danced his way to the shower, and he was about to put his music and take his clothes off when he noticed he didn't have his daily battle for the bathroom with Rin. Worried, he sprinted to his sister's room and gently knocked on the door.
"Rin?" He asked carefully.
He hadn't gotten to the bathroom first ever since they turned twelve, when a girl's appearance becomes even more important. Anyhow, when he received no response he pushed the door open and peeked his head in.
"Rin?"
He walked to the shape of his sister buried in the sheets. When looking closer, he found her deep in sleep. He rested his hand on her shoulder and gently shook her, earning a barely audible moan from her.
"Len?"
Len shook his head at the sight of her; pale as humanly possible and dark circles under her eyes. He felt her forehead and found that she surely had a fever.
"You're sick." He stated.
"Ugh." He heard her answer.
"Do you want me to make chicken soup?"
She nodded. And Len didn't go to school that day.
