The missed calls chronicles- Edward's Cell Phone
Bella ran off to the shower, and I listened for the shower to start. Edward, I'll only be a minute. Stay put. She ordered me. I decided to listen to my messages—it's been a while since I checked for missed calls. I reached in my pocket and pulled out the little phone. I dialed my voicemail and punched in the familiar password—Bella in numbers.
"Edward, it's Emmett." The recording started. I sighed—this wasn't going to turn out normally.
"Edward, listen. I need your hair gel, one of Bella's bras, a pair of Jasper's pants, Alice's shoes, and some of Rosalie's make-up. I wanted to know if you could get them for me and bring them to the clearing. I have something to show you." The call ended. I moved on to the next message. Emmett, again.
"Edward…where are you? Are you and Bella having sex behind our backs—because I figured you would be here by now. Call me back bye." I rubbed my temples. Is it possible for a vampire to get a headache? From Emmett, most likely. Another message. I listened in horror. Emmett—again.
"EDWARD!! Where are you? Your avoiding me aren't you? Call me back dammit. Gosh bye." I sighed again. Next message.
"Edward," Emmett's voice sang in a tune that sounded beyond creepy. "This is going to be a completely random question—but do you have problems being around Bella when she is on her period? I mean really. That must get to you…with the…you know," I cringed. I wanted to go kill Emmett. "Anyway, yeah. Never mind about the stuff, I got them myself, except one of Bella's bras. I'm on my way to come get one now. See you soon bye." My eyes widened in horror. As soon as I closed the phone, Emmett came bursting through the window.
"EMMETT!" I almost yelled.
"Where's Bella's underwear drawer" he asked, ignoring my angry tone. He started towards her dresser, but I shoved him before he got too close.
"Emmett, don't."
"Fine, I'll use Rosalie's, bye." Then, Emmett left the way he came. I tried to get the mental image Emmett was thinking of out of my head, and then Bella walked in the door. She sighed.
"What do you do when you're waiting for me? It must be boring," she said randomly. I sighed, then answered.
"You would really rather not know Bella, you would really rather not know." I kissed her head, and thought about how she would have reacted if she walked in on Emmett going through her underwear drawer. I shuttered.
