We knew life was going to be hard from this moment on;being a mermaid. The only thing that could have caused this was when we went swimming in a fresh water spring during a full moon. Water is our enemy and we dont know if we can keep our secret for long, especially in the public eye. Last night was when we went swimming in the spring, it was our secret place for just us to hang out and we thought we would camp there for the night. This morning was when Ashley started yelling my name; when I looked over my shoulder all I saw was her head bobbing up and down with multiple expressions on her face. "M!"
"what do you want a floaty?"
"come here!!"
"Grrrr" I growled with a smile. When I ran to the water she was deeper than the twelve feet point, and when I was about shoulder deep, my legs weird like jello and then it was gone. I ducked under water to see what it was. When I saw an orange tail with scales instead of my legs. I came back to the surface with incredible speed when i was at-
least 5 feet under. I looked at Ashley with a smile on my face. The first thing that came out of Ashley's mouth was:
"why the hell do I have a tail?!"
"You mean we?" I objected.
"What?"
"Ahh I have a tail too!Grr lets just get back to our crap, then we question." When we both got back to where we could feel the sand with our hands, we flipped to our backs and looked at our tails then each other.
"We..look like mermaids." we said at the same time.
"Why the hell did my legs feel like watery jello?" I said with a laugh.
"I don't know but mine felt like that too...heh heh heh."
We pulled ourselves onto the sand and minutes later we were...normal.
