First Dance, Twilight SongFic

Edward's POV

This was my chance, I slip my hand in hers and take her to the dance floor, simple. I went for it, I went as smoothly as I knew it would.

I've got one chance to get this right, you can only do your first dance once, I should take advantage of the slower songs.

Bella's POV

Edward slipped his hand in mine and led me to the dance floor, I sighed and let him drag me to my humiliation. He put his hands on my hips and I put my arms round his neck. I closed my eyes and swayed with the music, and that was as far as I would take it with dancing. I didn't think prom would be like this. It was just me and Edward, he's been waiting so long for this day to come, now that it was here, he wanted it to be a special night that I remember.

I can't deny, there's so many thoughts in my mind, the DJ's playing my favourite song, there's no teachers watching, this could be the night of Edward's dreams for me.

Edward's POV

If Bella gave the first dance to me, I had to be gentle, she was fragile. I know we got to do it slowly, Bella couldn't manage anything faster. I was cherishing every moment I had with her as a human, cuz it only happens once in a lifetime.

I couldn't ask more of her, we were rocking back and forth, under the disco ball, we're the only ones on the floor, no one else had started dancing yet. I could see Alice and Jasper watching us, even Rosalie's expression seemed to soften slightly.

Only slightly.

There's so many thoughts in my mind; if I change her will we do this again? If I don't change her will she resent me for making her come to this dance. The DJ was playing a slow song that I like, no one joined us on the dance floor.

Alice had never stopped saying that Bella and I look cute together.

"Let's make this a night we can both remember." I said, taking Bella's hand and spinning her under my arm, then there was no teachers to see me pulling her closer to me. Charlie will never now, when the lights go up, and the music turns off, now's the perfect time to taste your lip gloss.

I kissed her.

Yes I know, short crappy songfic, I'm not good at songfics, but please review, even if it is just to tell me it's crap but I don't mind, it's all feedback.
