Summary:Neela AU, hints of RayNeela. Neela's POV, following her accident after 'The Honeymoon's Over'. Just an angsty, little one-shot.
I know, I know, you all probably want me just to hurry up and continue with all the multi – chapter stories that I have going and I apologize for that, (hopefully) I'll update soon! This is just a little one – shot that came to me. A bit more on the angsty side compared to other things I've written lately. Still, I hope you like it!
To Forgive and To Forget

She'd never been one to be superstitious but still, as she lay on the hospital bed, machines surrounding her, helping her fight for her life, she couldn't help but question it. After all they do say what goes around comes around and she had played game after game with Ray which had eventually been the cause of his accident. No matter what her mind screamed out to her to believe; 'that is was the truckie's fault,' 'that Ray had already been smashed,' and so forth, her heart told her otherwise, she knew better. She knew that it had been everything that she had done that had led up to his accident. And now she was getting her just desserts for everything, all the pain and suffering she had caused him and made him endure, when all the while she had felt the same thing but now it was too late. He was gone.
As she lay there, hearing the commotion above as they worked to save her life, she couldn't help but wish for it all to be over, she just wanted to go into the darkness and never come back, more importantly she just wanted to forget. She just wished that they would stop trying and let her lose this battle...
Maybe then she would be forgiven.
