This is my first Gibbs/ Jenny pairing. I was inspired to write this when I listened to This = Love by The Script while I was watching Judgment Day. And to be honest I cried while watching it.
I do not own NCIS and if I did Jenny would still be alive and Gibbs and Jenny would have jumped each other's bones in Kill Ari.

Jethro Gibbs was speeding though the desert on the two- lane interstate. His mind was focused on Jenny. She had had a close call again and this time was far too close for his liking. As he watched the sparse and barren landscape whizz by he had decided that this was as good a time as any to tell Jenny he loved her. He loved her as much as he had when she had left him in Paris. To this day he still regretted not stopping her; if he was honest with himself it was one of his biggest regrets. He wasn't going to put his feelings in a box in his mind and forget them. As soon as he got to the diner he was going to tell her what she meant to him. He knew they could work it out, he could feel it in his gut.
Mike Franks was leaning on the side of the ambulance watching Jenny like a hawk. He had heard that Gibbs was heading in their direction and he wasn't going to let her out of his sight until Gibbs got there.
Jenny Shepard was sitting on the backend of the ambulance being checked over by a paramedic. She felt numb, if Franks hadn't have thrown her to the ground and gotten them behind the counter when he did, she would have been dead. She had had a lot of close calls, but this was a little too close for her. The conversation she had had with Franks was still playing through her mind. She knew Gibbs was heading to the diner and she had decided that she was going to tell him. Tell him that she loved him and that she never should have left him in Paris.
Jenny broke out of her daze when she saw Gibbs' rental car roar into the parking lot, tires throwing gravel as he stopped. Jenny slid down from the ambulance, ignoring the protests from the paramedic and met Gibbs halfway. The two just stood in front of each other for a moment before Jenny threw herself into Gibbs' arms, her arms snaked around his neck and she buried her head into his neck. Gibbs was momentarily shocked before he wrapped his arms around Jenny and pulled her close.
"I never should have left you in Paris." Jenny whispered softy, a few tears leaking out of her eyes.
Gibbs pushed her back a little and lovingly wiped her tears off her cheeks.
"I should have never let you get on that plane."
The two met in a kiss that was filled with love and passion. His hands rested on her hips and she cupped his face in her hands. When the need for oxygen became too great, the pair pulled apart only minutely and smiled at each other.
"I love you, Jen."
"I love you too, Jethro." Jenny replied, her green eyes sparkling happily.
Gibbs pulled Jenny into another kiss before nuzzling her neck.
A few feet away Tony and Ziva were watching their boss's make out like teenagers. The two were so shocked by the pair that their mouths were quite literally hanging open. But as soon as Tony got his wits about him he snapped a ton of pictures. Abby was going to love this, Mommy and Daddy were finally getting their act together.
When Gibbs heard the sound of the camera going off, he pulled back from Jenny and turned around sending a glare in Tony and Ziva's direction
"Hey! Get back to work!" Gibbs shouted.
In their haste the two ran into each other before hurrying in opposite directions. Jenny and Gibbs shared another smile before Gibbs picked her up bridal style and carried her back to the ambulance.
Their relationship by definition was complicated, but people didn't often get second chances –hell, it was probably their third or fourth chance- but they weren't going to waste it.
