Talent Show
Dumbledore had just posted the news—there was a talent show coming abroad.
Now, I'm not very into being the center of attention of about eight hundred people, but I had the perfect song, and I knew my brother could help me out. I sent the owl immediately.
Dumbledore has allowed muggles into the school. Since some students knew muggles they wanted to help them with their talent, they were allowed. But only the muggles allowed were ones who already knew about the wizarding world. But that was fine, because my brother's band consisted of him, two cousins, and my best muggle friend Derek.
They got here one month before the opening night, and I wanted the talent I was doing to be a surprise. So we practiced every day in the Room of Requirement. My confidence swelled with every passing note, and gradually I wasn't scared anymore. The music lifted me up with each passing day, and by opening night, I was satisfied.
I wore the plaid boots Mrs. Weasley made for me, dark blue skinny jeans, an American Eagle hoodie, and my hair was straight, sticking out in all places, pulled into a messy bun. I didn't wear any make-up.
We walked onto the makeshift stage that was in the middle of the lake. To make the muggles more comfortable, the music equipment was muggle, running on the magic power around it. A microphone stood in front of me, and I rested me hand on it.
"This is a muggle song called All Around Me, by the band Flyleaf. We chose the acoustic version of the song."
I heard the guitars start, and then I sang.

By the time the last word hung in the air, all the people of Hogwarts, even the Slytherns, and Professor Snape, was cheering loudly. I could even hear Draco Malfoy cheering me.
