The way people can't understand so they go to fear. They chase those away, those who they deem dangerous, different.
It's only because they're scared, my brothers and sisters.
They embrace fire, earth, water, and air, because that is normal, natural. Even those that have taken earth and fire to the extreme, the lightning and metal benders are accepted by society. But you, the blood benders have been shunned. Because yours is the power of life itself.
It's funny, isn't it? The great hero of the water tribes, the former Avatar's wife, Katara is a blood bender too.

No, I'm sure you didn't. She was quite good at keeping her secrets. Legend has it her power is even beyond that of Yakkon. Of course, no one can confirm that rumor.

A/N: I've wanted to do a Korra fic for a while, and decided to at least start one. Sorry for the first chapter being so short, but I thought it would be a good way to introduce my villain and give you a taste of what is coming. Please review, I'd love to see what you think about this.
