AN: So being honest from the beginning, this is my first story.

This story is self indulgent bullshit from a guy trying to give his OC some spotlight, and so should not be read by anyone, okay?

Anyway go easy on me. Chances are I might not even continue this.

This is a retelling of Pokemon Moon except the main character is (possibly) insane.

Characters like Lillie, Hau and the Main character are aged to 15. Why? You tell me.

Anyway enjoy and please don't kill me.

This story is rated T for: Swearing, implied violence, explicit violence, and more swearing.

The region of Alola. The region of sunshine and beaches. The region where Humans and Pokemon live as partners, instead of as Pokemon and Trainer. Many people dream of one day coming to this gorgeous place, either as a way to relax from life's problems, or to live in peace and relaxation.

Mel did not share these thoughts. The day was blazing hot, she stepped on Tauros shit on the way to her new home, and so many people stayed awake at night that she could hear them through most of the night. And that was just the first day.

Mel was asleep on her new bed, her alarm clock ringing and trying to wake her up. It had obviously failed to do it's job. As Mel slept through the noise, a creature walked up to her bed, and began to make noise, successfully waking Mel from her slumber.

"Meow! Meowth." Mel heard the sounds of the family housemon Meowth, and came to the conclusion that it was time to wake up. Joy.

"Why is everything dark?" Mel tried to touch her face, only to notice a pillow shaped obstruction on her face. She was drooling in her sleep again.

"God I should not have fallen face first into the pillow." Mel thought, before slowly peeling of the pillow of her face, trying to get out of her bed, falling out of her bed, and opening her eyes to see the face of Meowth, right before he started licking her face.

"I don't know why Dad brought you with us." Mel dryly responded to the licking. "We should have donated you, or better, fed you to that Arcanine outside our house." Meowth stopped licking her face and stared at her, before finally leaving the room, leaving Mel to finally get up and make her way to the mirror, to asses her current state of 'being awake'.

She looked terrible. The awake kind of terrible. Her long black hair was a mess, with a few strands stuck to her lips. Gross. And her brown eyes were bloodshot from having stayed awake for three days before arriving to Alola. "This was not worth 120000 Dollars." Mel dryly told the person in the mirror, which just so happened to be her.

"Mel! Are you awake yet? Your breakfast is getting cold!" Yelled her dad.

"In a minute!" She yelled back. After finally combing her hair into its usual appearance, putting on her glasses, and checking if she was wearing pants, Mel made her way into the living room. She sat down at the table were her breakfast was, 2 arepas with cheese. Her dad sat across from her, nursing a cup of coffee while reading a brochure on Alolan tourist spots. Once he noticed she was there, he asked his daughter an important question: "Honey, I've been trying to wake you up for the past half hour. Didn't you sleep last night?"

"Dad, you know I never wake up until at least half an hour after my alarm rings. You should know this by now." Mel responded dryly. After scarfing down her first arepa and beginning with the second one, she asked: "Why were you trying to wake me up anyway?"

"Because professor Kukui came by to talk to you. He wanted to take you to Iki Town to get your first Pokemon." Her father responded. "Your bag is in the room. I made sure to pack in everything you need for your first Pokemon journey!" He said to his daughter, who didn't look exactly thrilled at the idea of a journey.

"Dad, why would I ever need to go on a journey? I already have enough work experience to become the manager of an actual Mall. A Mall Dad! Why would I go on a journey beating up other peoples animals? I can just start a business in Haoli City or whatever it's called. We'd be set for life!" Mel responded to her father. She had been making money by selling Pearls and Nuggets she found with her personal Item Finder since she was Five! Not to mention the time she successfully ran an Illegal PokeMart selling typical Wares at twice their price. God people were gullible. Of course the cops found out eventually and she had to frame a local Rocket Grunt for her crimes, but that didn't matter.

And let's not even get started on Team Rocket.

"Well you can challenge plenty of rich people to Pokemon battles so you can take their cash. Not to mention you'll be on the road often so you can find lots of nuggets and pearls." Her Dad suggested to her. "God why was he so good at using her greed against her? He was way to good."

After mulling it over for a bit, Mel made her final decision: "Fine, I'll go on a journey. I might as well see why kids are so crazy about these things. Maybe I can see Dad while I'm at it." Mel did have one more question for her father: "Hey where is Dad working by the way? I haven't seen him since yesterday?"

"He's working at a place called the Aether Foundation. Apparently there's a Three day long orientation period. Something about getting them used to long periods of time away from their family's, so we won't be seeing him anytime soon." Her Dad responded, before going back to reading his brochure. Mel had already finished her breakfast, and after dumping her plate into the sink, she went into her room to look for her bag. Once she found it in the box next to her bed, she proceeded to do a baggage check:

One handbag with melon pattern (bought on impulse at the gift shop in the marina)

One personal Item Finder/Metal Detector (For finding valuable shit)

Sebastian the Mariachi Cactus (No way in hell she was leaving him!)

One Chicken Hat (Hell no. Sorry Dad, but I'm keeping my dignity)

One cellular communication device (A Cell-phone, for the uninitiated)

One collapsible walking stick (In case her leg starts to hurt)

A set of clothes for every day of the week (Gray shirts and black jeans. All of them)

And finally, personal hygiene products (You know what they're for!)

After checking that she had everything she needed; and putting on her clothes, a gray V-Neck Tee with Black Jeans, she was finally ready for the beginning of a "wonderful" journey!. Unless something happened on the way to getting her first pokemon that ends up catapulting her into a crazy adventure involving aliens or something. "What could possibly go wrong?" Mel thought.

"You just had to ask yourself that me? You just had to." Mel berated herself in her thoughts, as she was walking across a bridge to save a cute chicks Pokemon from being mauled by Spearows.

How did she get into this situation you may ask? Well when she met up with Professor Shirtless, he asked her to look for someone called the Kahuna, with the helpful pointer that the person looked like 'A Kahuna'. Very helpful information.

As she wandered around town, she ended up spotting a particularly cute blonde chick in a white dress wandering into a path into the forest. Deciding to see if she could get this girls number under the excuse of asking her where the Kahuna was, she followed her into the path. Once she reached her, a strange creature that looked like a Nebula ended up jumping out of her bag and onto a very old bridge. That's when the Spearows attacked.

"Goddammit morals, why do you have to make me do good things at the expense of my sense of self preservation?" Mel thought to herself as she made her way to the poor Pokemon? Once she reached the creature, she proceeded to defend it from the Spearow, covering the Pokemon? with her own body.

"OK so now what?...Dammit Mel your smarter than this?" Mel found herself trapped on the bridge, with no way to escape the onslaught of Spearow dive bombs. As she looked at the Pokemon? that she was protecting, she noticed that it was starting to glow brighter. And brighter. Until it unleashed a huge blast of energy that sent the Spearow flying away.

And destroyed the bridge underneath them. As they began to fall, only one thought crossed Mel's mind:

"Ah fuck. So this is it huh? I try to do one good, selfless thing for once and I end up dying because of it. Being good sucks."

As Mel fell to her death, she began to think about her life: "You know, she always thought she would die a cooler death. If she had her way, she would wait until right before she died of natural causes, then shoot herself just to spite whatever embodiment of death would come to take her, just to spite them! Of course I would end up in hell. I mean, where else would I end up? Valhalla?

"I wonder if they have hotdog stands down there? I'm pretty sure those things are crimes against nature, so they would definitely fit in."

"Why am I not dead yet?" Mel thought, before finally opening her eyes and noticing that she was on the ground, with a strange looking Pokemon right in front of her. The mysterious Pokemon let out a loud screech, before flying of to god knows where.

"Holy shit I spaced out! I have got to start paying more attention during these things!" It was then that she remembered she was holding her own mysterious Pokemon, who proceeded to jump out of her arms and towards the cute girl.

"Pew!" The mysterious creature exclaimed, acting like the two of them falling to their deaths did not just happen. The girl proceeded to talk to the creature: "Oh... Oh, thank goodness!" She exclaimed in relief, before addressing the creature in a more somber tone: "You tried using your power again... didn't you? Oh Nebby."

As the girl talked to the little creature, who's name appeared to be Nebby, Mel started to stand up, dusting herself and processing what happened: "OK, so to recap, I followed some chick into the woods, tried to rescue her Pokemon, almost fell to my death; and got rescued by what I think is a Rooster god? Definitely the most eventful five minutes of my life!"

Once Mel stood up, the cute girl turned to address her: "Please forgive me... I am so grateful to you for helping us out of that dangerous spot." The girl thanked Mel.

"Nah, it was nothing." Mel felt flattered, before asking the girl a question: "Say, do you know where I can find a Kahuna?"

The girl seemed surprised at how quickly Mel had gotten to the point, like if her falling to her death was something that hadn't happened at all. "N...No, I don't know where the Kahuna is.

Are you OK?" She asked Mel.

"Yeah I'm fine. Anyway what's your name?" Mel asked the cute girl in an excited tone. The cute girl appeared perplexed at Mel's casual tone, before regaining her composure and giving her name: "I'm Lillie. I think this stone belongs to you." Lillie handed to Mel a strange looking stone. Not knowing what it was, Mel put it in her bag, planning to take it home to see what it was worth.

"Thanks! I'm Mel by the way." Mel thanked Lillie, before looking at the strange creature she had nearly sacrificed her life to save. "Anyway, what's the little guys name?"

"His...his name is Nebby. Please don't tell anyone that you saw him. It's...it's a secret, OK?" Lillie asked her nervously. "Sure, why not. I've kept my fair share of secrets." Mel responded.

Looking relieved, Lillie turned to Nebby. "Come on. Into the bag, Nebby."

Once Nebby entered Lillie's duffel bag, she began to walk back to town, before stopping, and turning to address Mel again. "I know it's too much for me to ask it, but... Do you think you could see us back into town? I'm worried we might get attacked again by some wild Pokemon or...or something."

"And lose the chance to escort a lovely lady like you to safety? I'd be crazy not to." Mel responded in the most chivalrous voice she could muster, before offering her hand to Lillie. Lillie did not take her hand, being rather put off by Mel's offer.

Not feeling the slightest bit upset by Lillie's reaction, Mel started to lead her back into town.

"I guess I was wrong about this place. This won't be nearly as boring as I thought it would.

"Now I'm really looking forward to this journey!"

AN: Well this happened. Hopefully you people get some sick enjoyment out of this story.

Chances are this might be the only chapter. Unless inspiration strikes again.
